Are you considering a bathroom remodel? From new flooring and fixtures, to cabinetry and bathtubs, it's hard to figure out what to keep and what needs updating. Go ahead and plan to replace your bathtub if it's showing any of these telltale about-to-expire, signs.
1. It leaks
Do you ever notice a small puddle of water near your bathtub each time you fill it up? You may have a small crack in the basin or leak in the pipes under the bathtub. Leaks can only get worse, so the moment you spot one, it is time to replace a bathtub. From southern claw foot tubs to relaxing spa tubs with heaters and jets, you have many options for replacements.
2. It's heavily stained
Bathtubs should be sanitized on a regular basis. But if you simply can't get that ring around your tub to disappear after doing a thorough scrubbing, then it's time to replace a bathtub. If staining is a problem due to hard water, consider getting a black, porcelain enameled bathtub to mask the discoloration.
3. It's impractical
Baths are not only hygienic, they're also relaxing. If your bathtub is difficult to get in and out of, too small or placed in an awkward area, start shopping for a new bathtub. Replace your standard bathtub with a handicap accessible bathtub or even a corner tub that better fits your bathroom space.
Give an Atlanta-area plumber a call to give you some bathroom remodeling ideas that fit your personal needs.
