Ceiling fans can be a good investment in your comfort -- in summer AND winter.

Consider the following when deciding on which fan to install in your space:

Count the number of blades. Ceiling fans should have between 3 and 6 blades. Others are considered decorative and they won't do the job.

Pay attention to the size of the blades. Residential fan blades span from between 29 to 54 inches. Make sure the size of the fan fits the size of the room. A small fan would look out-of-scale in a large room.
