Sorry to say...Lost their customer focus in 2012
This is a 3/2012 update to an original 5-star review I posted on 5/2011.
I used to use JC Auto as it was a good alternative to the large national chains with reasonable prices and excellent customer service by Carlos. Lately, I had to switch shops as this place has no showed me for an appointment and gotten too busy to return customer calls. They appear to have lost two of their mechanics and are struggling to keep up. In the meantime, this long time customer been forced to seek service elsewhere.
On that note, I had good luck with Mathis Auto Service (near Publix and Mathis Airport). They have a similar level of service that JC Auto used to have and plus they have a waiting room with wireless internet. Not fancy, but they answer their phone and provide honest value-oriented service. Perhaps one day, Carlos at JC Auto will get the shop turned back around and we'll try him again. Best of luck.
