I had to call in sick on my first day of work
I had an ear infection which caused severe vertigo, (I had somehow gone through life for all these years without ever having vertigo). I couldn't stand without being dizzy and disoriented, the room spun when I lay down and I had to hold on to things in order to walk across the room to keep from falling.
I had been out of work for some time and this was supposed to be my first day on the new job. I couldn't stand up straight and looked drunk! Now how would that have looked? I called in sick. My soon to be new boss called a few days later to check on me, (I was sure it was to fire me) and seemed to understand.
When I finally did start work a few days later, he suggested "that he could adjust me for that". I was a little skeptical, but figured I needed all the help I could get. It helped tremendously! I was able to get the first good nights sleep I'd had in days and felt terrific. Who knew that he could adjust my ears? I'm now a believer.
I also have a great new job, working for a lovely, understanding and interesting chiropractor by the name of Dr. Jay DiVagno.
