Aquarama Pool & Spas

3 trips, 3 techs and 3 bills to fix 1 problem

We have used Aquarama off and on throughout the years, and have tried some other vendors too. But, in this trip (or series of 3 trips), I finally feel violated as a trusting customer. First off, did you know they start charging you when they drive in the driveway (even if they are sitting in the truck)? I found out via way of an extra 30 minutes on my bill and at $139 per hour, that is a hard pill to swallow. So, beware, once the company is in your drive, your clock is ticking. The first trip, the wrong type of technician was sent for our issue. After $200+ bill, we were told we needed a leak detection test. The leak dectection guy is another $139/hr. The leak detection guy could not find a leak, but decided I need to dig all my plumbing up, surely I'll see a leak then. After digging up 70 linear feet of pavers, I found the leak under my skimmers. (Why could they not tell that with the "state of the art leak detection equipment" they advertise on the hold music?) The 3rd crew arrived at the job site without any tools to finish digging to replace the skimmer plumbing. I also paid his time to return to the shop to retrieve shovels. Overall, we were taken advantage of and not treated as valuable customers. I would never charge my client for time I did not spend physically working on their job site. If there is a next time, I'll be more astute in their pricing tactics before we start a job.

Slimy to past clients

I used this company about 3 years ago thru a groupon. I remember feeling uneasy with the Doctor. But, the technician Kerri was fine. So I called about a living social deal and Kerri answered the phone. Because I used a $99 service with them 3 years ago, she quoted me 3x the living social deal they are offering. The price Kerri quoted was even higher than what they post on the website for the service! They are obviously not looking for long term customers. I was going to buy a treatment for 2 people, but the attitude was a real turn off, so I'm going elsewhere this time.

Atlawnta Landscape Services

Did not deliver - no show

Very unprofessional and unreliable. I had an appointment for a load of long needle pine straw and landscaping estimate. The company called (at delivery time) and rescheduled, claiming they were getting a new load of straw, and it would be fresher. We set a new appointment for a couple days later. On the day of the new appointment, no one showed up. I called and left a voicemail. I left about 3 voicemails over the course of a week to find out if the company was going to deliver or not. They did not even provide the courtesy of a return phone call. Would never recommend a company that does not show up for appointments.
