True professionals!

I can't recommend these guys highly enough. Everything went incredibly smoothly. The initial contact by telephone was very informative. The inspection and bid was quick, not pushy, and I got a bid on the spot. They had the job engineered and got the permit, and kept me up to date on scheduling. Matt, their lead carpenter, was great. Polite, a good communicator, super tidy, and definitely knows his trade. The job passed inspections with no problem, and now I have earthquake insurance!

I had used other contractors before Jackson, but I won't use anybody else again. I called Erik Jackson because I had Jackson's sister company do a retrofit. He was wonderful, and suggested ways of solving my problem that had not occurred to me. The designed my project for a reasonable fee, then gave me a fixed price for the complete job - and stuck to it. Their lead carpenter was fantastic, as were most of their trade partners. I was amazed every evening at how tidy my house was. I was entirely comfortable having their team in my house. My old Ballard house threw the Jackson guys a few curve balls, but they rolled with the punches and finished just a few days later than their original schedule. They were not the cheapest company I have worked with, but you get what you pay for.
