I agreed with all the glowing reviews until things went wrong, then we found out how unresponsive Richard and Mike can be. We had our driveway replaced and a sidewalk installed in April 2011. It was a beautiful job until 3 weeks after completion, the surface of the the driveway began to bubble, flake and peel, leaving a polka dot appearance to the driveway. Richard was called and told about the problem and he finally showed up about 3 weeks later and assured us they would make it right. A month later a rep. from the Lafarge Cement Co showed up to see the peeling driveway and told us that USA Concrete was blaming the inferior concrete and that Lafarge is responsible for fixing the problem. Lafarge said it was USA's poor workmanship causing the problem. So we are between two companies pointing fingers at each other. Since Mike hired the cement company, who he is holding responsible, and I hired Mike to do the job, isn't it Mike liable, since he used the inferior product? His guarantee is on workmanship which allows him to use whatever product he chooses and he is not liable??? We filed a claim in small claims court and won the judgement thru default but we have not heard from Mike in over a year. Maybe he'll respond to this review. He asked us to be patient while they worked on getting Lafarge to remedy the problem and I think I have been very patient. I just wanted everyone to know that their business ethic leaves a lot to be desired when things go wrong.
