Not Thrilled

I've taken my car in to them twice. The first time was to fix my transmission. When I got the car back, it was making a new noise it hadn't made before taking it to Nelms. I took it back to them and they tried to fix the problem that occurred while the car was in their care. They couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. I needed my car back and they'd already had it for over a week so they sent me home with a "sorry we don't know what's wrong with it." Against my better judgement, I decided to give them a second chance when my car broke down one month later. This time they managed to fix the problem, but after checking with a mechanic friend of mine who doesn't live in the area I found out they over charged me for parts and labor by about $50 on part of my repair. Also it took them forever to call me to let me know what was going on with my car. I had to initiate contact both times we spoke on the phone and both times it was the same story, we're just getting to it now. They don't work on weekends so heaven help you if your car breaks down on a Friday or something. Hope you can deal without your vehicle for the weekend. I had to have friends and family ferry me to work and back while I was waiting for the weekend to be over so they could actually get to my car. I won't be using them again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone who needed their car fixed in a hurry.
