Either Incompetent or Untrustworthy- You decide
My home warranty company uses Bynum and they were supposed to replace my hot water heater. The two guys show up and within 15 minutes tell me that my pressure regulator valve is faulty and the reason why my water heater broke. They told the warranty company this and the warranty company would only fund the repair on the regulator ($150) and not the water heater ($650). The two supposed plumbers wrote up an estimate for over $1100. Typical bait and switch type stuff. I spoke with three plumbers who all doubted it was a regulator. I selected another plumber and he showed me that the supposed plumbers tested a faucet that was outside of the house and not affected by the regulator and thus the regulator was not the problem. So Bynum not only cost me extra money, they are either incredibly incompetent or thieves in trying to sell me something I didn't need. I would run as far away from these guys as possible. Obviously, these guys know little to nothing about plumbing. And the kicker is after I ran these guys out of my house, the office called me the next day asking if I was ready for them to do the work. That is incompetence by definition.
