Doesn't know difference betw brutal and honest
Sent to him after diagnosed w/cancer. Told me "you're going to look like a grenade exploded in the middle of your chest." I think the before/after pics say enough. After both breast surgeon and top oncologist told me I didn't need chemo-that re-occurrence rate would be no different, he told me w/o it he'd have to do bi-lateral or he'd "see me in my casket." Has caused me a great deal of needless pain & suffering that only his staff can make up for in their sympathy & Understanding. He put in the wrong size implant b/c he forgot about existing breast tissue in non-cancerous breast resulting in one side being 2 sizes bigger than the other. He could've just checked the chart. I can forgive anything if someone admits/fixes a mistake. Blaming the patient is not the answer. Telling me he's "just going to fix me up and cut me loose" in a very mean, nasty, condescending manner is wrong. Don't know whether to go back & let him fix his mistake and give him an opportunity to right the wrongs. Will adjust the ratings accordingly; but, after 2 years, many OV's, quite a few surgeries, this is where we stand. It's up to him to do what's right. Excellent surgeon, just not a nice person at all. Worst bedside manner I've ever experienced. His heart is in his work, but has no heart for people he does it on. Just plain mean.
