WORST Customer Service EVER
When I contacted Ackerman Customer Service about my issue, for the 2nd time in 5 days, I was told today that I called at a really bad time, as they were "in the middle of a shift change". Well, last week at 9am must not have been good either since no manager was available then. Seems that 9am and 4:15pm are both inconvenient for Ackerman, but what about the consumer? I am moving from my home, where they have serviced my account for 10+ years, to a 4 month apartment rental, in order for my new home to be finished early 2013. I was willing to move my service to the new home, which is being pre-wired for security, however they won't waive the $140 fee since I am moving to the apartment for 4 months in between. Seriously. And the first time I called , I was assured a manager would call me back. Sadly, I had to call back 5 days later and still had trouble getting a "manager" on the phone. What a joke. Won't ever use them again and will tell everyone NOT to use Ackerman!
