I had a water heater replaced this morning by Joel Anthis of Superior Plumbing. I originally filled out a form on their website requesting a quote, and was contacted within a couple hours by a courteous representative. I discussed with Joel my options between a tankless or a replacement tank, which he was able to discuss the pros and cons of each for my specific situation. I ended up replacing the tank, which was removed and hauled away by Superior. They carry a couple common tank sizes in their vans, so he was able to do the work right then and there without an additional appointment. (I didn't get multiple quotes, but the quote he gave looked reasonable. I don't know how it compares to other plumbers in the area.) He had to do some additional work to meet code, such as install a thermal expansion tank. He also replaced the shutoff valve that still dripped slightly when closed. The replacement heater has a brass drain valve rather than the cheap plastic ones that break a few years down the road. Joel was professional and courteous. He wore booties to keep from tracking dirt in the house, and laid down runners to keep from tracking mud in while bringing in/out the new/old tanks. I'm very satisfied with my experience with Superior Plumbing.
