Great service and quality workmanship

I just bought a house and the breaker powering my dryer had flipped twice. A previous owner had installed a new dryer outlet and hadn't inserted the wire tightly into the breaker, so the wire melted, causing the breaker to flip. I actually picked Thrasher Electric because they had so many good reviews on Kudzu. They did an electrical inspection on my house, then installed a new dryer outlet, installed a new breaker for the dryer, and switched some other breakers around in the box. The total cost was $813. $149 for the inspection, $495 for the dryer plug install with a new breaker, and $169 for moving around/reorganizing the breaker box a little. I'm not sure how that compares to other companies. What I do know is the electrician, Ben, was friendly, he answered questions that I asked, and seemed to do a good job. The area around the dryer was clean, the new plug was nicely installed in the wall, and when Ben showed me the breaker box after completion it definitely looked better than it did originally. I can do things like replace outlets or lights myself, but this job was definitely too big for me. I thought the price for the inspection and dryer fixes were fair, but I did think $169 was probably a bit high for moving some breakers around. Even so, I wasn't going to tackle it myself and I figured it made sense for him to tackle it all while he was there rather than hire someone else just to move breakers around. Overall, it was a good experience.
