Majestic Plumbing & Electric

Looking for Extra Work and Money!

This company was easy to call and use, they sent some one out right away. Clogged shower drain that needed some work. He took care of that with out any problem, but then he went around the house looking at the system to see if "we needed anything else done". Tested the pressure of the water coming into the house, looked over the water heater. All things I did not want him to do--- suggested that we get a new pressure reducing valve for $342. He was fishing for more business and I thought it was not very ethical to "find" work.

Arrow Takes Care of All of our Pests

I can't say enough about how pleased I have been using Arrow as our exterminating company. Our quarterly "bug" man is delightful, the termite inspections have been thorough and they dealt with a very troublesome rat issue in a very professional way. The way they handled our rats went very well. They found the opening in the house where they were coming in, sealed the hole. They then set traps inside to get the rats and came weekly for four weeks to check. They also guarantee or will return to reseal/retrap for a year. Then for a low yearly fee they keep you under the guarantee. It was $1300 to get rid of the rats. It was a little unnerving listening to the rats try to chew their way out of the metal seal but in the end they were trapped. Every single person I have met and had contact with was very nice, well mannered and professional. Easy to schedule and show up on time.

Irrigation Repair Guy

Get Someone Else

This is a bit of an unusual situation. This man was hired by the previous owner of our house in April to fix a broken sprinkler valve that our house inspector found. We subsequently closed on the house only to find the same valve leaking. Not a little leak, major mud and the entire housing filled with water. He charged the previous owner aprox. $250 for the repair. I called him to inform that the leak had returned. Left, message never returned my call. Then called him again and he picked up. Proceeded to tell me that he would come back to fix the valve but it would involve massive amounts of work, and gave me an estimate of $300-$500. Even mentioned that if any other company came out to repair the problem it would be $1200. As he saw it the problem was the sprinkler shut off valve was malfunctioning and he needed to take out our holly bush (8 feet high), dig up our water meter and install a new sprinkler shut off valve. Only then would he be able to properly seal the pipe to the new valve. I was incredulous. Called highly rated Ridgeway Mechanical. They came out, located the shut off valve for the sprinkler (in two minutes) which worked just fine, and covered with pine straw, obviously Jowell Thome had not ever located it, and repaired the leak. $39.00. They are not a sprinkler company, plumbing, but knew what to do with pipe leaks.

Lock Problems? Look no further.

Seldom can I recommend someone without reservation. John Bowers did an outstanding job installing 25+ locksets in our house that we are renovating. I bought a house with builder’s grade door handles. Many of them were broken, all of them in brass color. Four deadbolts all keyed differently. A front door lock that was falling off the door. After much searching I bought my locks and door handles from Door HardwareUSA.com. in Duluth GA. They recommended that I use John to install all of my door handles and locks and I am very happy that I did that. John arrived on time, with a tool belt that would be the envy of any handyperson on any DIY show. He was meticulous. Every door was fixed to close and open perfectly, all the locks and handles were installed great. He adjusted and planed any door that was sticking or closing incorrectly. He also installed door stops and the various hardware needed for doors with levers. We were installing an Estate Baldwin lock on our front door. Because of the difficulty of removing the old lock, and adjusting the new lock it took two hours to install. But he did a wonderful job of getting it in and looking just right, along with working perfectly. I would not hesitate to use him again.
