Southeastern Underdeck Systems, LLC

They did a great job!

We just had an underdeck system installed at our house by Southeastern. They did a great job with it, and it looks very nice and was quickly installed. After the system was installed, we asked if they could paint the framework for us. They were nice enough to send out a painter to take care of it for us at no charge even though painting isn't something they ordinarily do and they don't even have a painting crew. That is the kind of excellent customer service that will make us use them again in the future! I highly recommend them for underdeck systems.

Fear based marketing and overpriced

We had C&M come out to give us an estimate on a sinkhole. They charged us $100 just to give an estimate. They also refused to give a firm estimate because they don't want to take on any of the risk that the hole is larger than they expect and would rather place that risk on the customer. The proposed contract terms are ridiculous and extremely one-sided in favor of C&M and to the detriment of the customer. The contract even permits them to charge you for time that they aren't on the jobsite for things like refueling, loading equipment, travel time, etc. On top of charging for all of this, they also want to charge you for every piece of equipment that they bring out and each piece has substantial daily charges associated with it. Their pitch tries to play up your fears that the hole is going to get worse and worse and they try to emphasize that nothing short of digging up the entire hole will work properly. In our case, we got an estimate from another company that was much, much lower than what they provided and was a firm estimate that the company would actually stick to, unlike these guys. C&M's proposal and policies definitely made us feel more like a mark that they were trying to gouge for as much money as possible than like a valued customer.
