Frustrated and Disappointed
When I selected Marc for the business it wasn't greeted with the normal "great." In fact, I got no response. I finally had to send an email with the subject line of "Are you still in business?" That got a response in 24 hours or less, finally. As we went through the initial look at the attic areas, he mentioned several times that he would include an updated thermostat or two for the house. Terrific! I know these aren't expensive and very nice offer, which I said yes to when I accepted GCS doing the foam work.
The guys who did the work were fine. They worked hard and in very hot weather. However, it took myself and a handyman hours to get doors back on and caulking. When I asked Marc about a walk through - there were several areas that I wanted to make sure were covered prior to closing up - he said that he never does a walk through. He leaves doing the job right to the crew. OK I can only hope that all was done.
I asked for documentation of the price I paid. That never came via email or otherwise. I'll use my canceled checks, thank you.
The thermostats never appeared after I chased him for months and heard excuse after excuse ... and finally an assurance that it would be taken care of. Not taken care of folks.
So, I'm over all of this but sharing my experience. Be aware! Spring, 2013
