Found & fixed a problem no one else could
Long story short... my parents spent near $8000 to resolve a jerking & bucking issue when their Lexus RX300 shifted. After a remanned tranny from Aamco in South Carolina, wheelsensors from Lexus Dealership in SC, replacement computer from a 'specialist' that Aamco in SC recommended the problem still existed.
I got involved took the car to Aamco Duluth, worked with Tim and his crew. After replicating the issue while the tech, Jerry, rode with me the problem was found and fixed that evening. Tim called me for permission to drive the car home to validate the fix and called me the next morning to pick it up. No more problems since. A corroded ground wire was the culprit and I learned the $8000 for parts and labor my parents spent was in vein.
Hats off to these guys for taking ownership of this mess and having the expertise, patience and analytical skills to get this issue corrected.
This is not an endorsement of the Aamco brand. This particular shop’s management and techs are who I’m endorsing and recommending . Aamco’s corporate consumer relations never returned my parents many calls and the Aamco shop in SC took my parents money, but never took ownership of the problem and gave my parents the run around. Maybe Tim and his crew could provide some lessons to Aamco corporate on customer service and teach the Aamco shop in SC about proper diagnostics. Ohh... Aamco-Duluth didn’t make a dime on this repair(warranty).
