Ridgeway Mechanical, Inc. posted on 8/30/2009
A plumber to refer to your friends
After I posted about no return call with an estimate, I got a call from the owner Allen Ridgeway himself offering an apology for the email estimate never going out. He took full responsibility for it. He told me they do have a non plumber do estimates, and I understand where I had a straightforward request to put in a hot water recirculation pump. He had a licensed Master Plumber come by today, and when he saw that I also needed repair to the expansion tank, he spent 2 hours on that and did not charge me even a trip charge. The work itself was neat and thorough and included installing a drain that had not been put in correctly earlier. (It was a botched job from the HVAC people I used to install the hot water heater 4 years ago.) The plumber still left it up to me whether to use Ridgeway for the pump install. When their price was in line with the other three estimates I already had gotten, I did not hesitate to have them finish the work. I was very impressed with their desire to win over a customer and take the time to do the job right. I am sorry to have written the earlier comment when I didn't hear back from them, but am very pleased with their follow up. I dealt with more than 16 subs after contracting a bathroom addition on to our house, and this level of customer service and commitment to the business is remarkable. I am just glad to find a great plumber b/c I live in a 40 year old ranch that always has something that needs attention.

Great business. Value for money & expertise.
Business is now off Barrett Pkwy in Kennesaw. Call for directions. Replaced my mower blade in minutes and then I found out he only took cash or checks. I only had $13 on me and he accepted that as full payment which barely covered the cost of the blade. Last summer he helped us with similar minor repairs. So hard to find someone so committed to his business. I have been to the other guys, and Mr. Glass is the place to go. Worth the drive for us. Takes tractors as well. Does not make house calls. Prompt service minded, pleasant to do business with. VERY reasonable.

Superb Windshield Repair posted on 4/8/2008
Near Vinings/ Galleria & I-75.
Le-Bron Blanton, technician/ owner has a military background. Very professional. Courteous & reasonably priced. (I shop around! Not cheapest but has equipment others don't.) Makes appts since he does all the repairs himself. Hand car wash available by his employee. He was very personable and pleasant to work with. I did not feel high pressured the way I did at a retail establishment. Told me that the chip had already been repaired and did not charge me for the touch-up. I would not have known. I thought it happened recently. His other location is at Mansell Road. I will definitely use him again if I have any further windshield damage.

Reliable
Competitive bid on the installation of new ductwork in our new addition and very professional so I chose them over 6 other bids that came in 4 higher and 1 lower. Since then I have used them for service calls. The service tech has been wiling to work with me for simple dx before coming out and once explained over the phone how to replace the small pump that went bad on my furnace, and saved me the service call. Another time they dx the problem with water freezing in the discharge line and recommended a DYI fix. Another visit to repair a noisy heat pump by tightening some screws. Reviewed the new thermostat with me. Took time to do it right. Basic service call charge was all.

wonderful competent surgeon
Dr. Daneker operated on my liver to remove a golf ball sized cancerous tumor and three nodules "by feel" plus 20% of my liver. My gyn surgeon (it was uterine cancer that had spread) told me that he did not want to do this operation with anyone else. Now, almost six years later, I am still cancer free. Unlike a lot of surgeons, Dr. Daneker is very personable, kind and despite a busy schedule, takes time to listen. I saw a lot of doctors through my cancer ordeal, and he was the BEST. He operated on me at St. Joe's in Atlanta which was also a great experience compared to other hospitals where I received care. I HIGHLY recommend him.

Internal Medicine
Dr. Lily has been my primary care physician since 2000 when she first discovered a cancerous tumor that had spread from the uterus to my liver. At the time, I was still under follow-up care by an oncology surgeon who removed a cancerous tumor in the uterus 3 years before, but missed the cancer reoccurence in the liver. Because of other symptoms, I sought out someone in Internal Medicine and found "Dr. Lily". She was born in 1959 (my age), trained in the US, although she is originally from Estonia, is very caring and empathetic, as well as competent physician when I went through the cancer diagnosis. She quickly referred me to a medical oncologist. With the cancer surgery & chemo behind me more than 6 years ago, I am still seeing her for primary care.

newer flatbed truck
Professional, friendly, helpful. Their truck was a newer flatbed which I prefer because it's better for my car. Reasonable rates. I plan to hang onto their card and use them any time I need towing because they were just first class folks.
