Summit Baptist Church

Great preschool and kindergarten program

I have sent 2 kids through the preschool/kindergarten program. My youngest just graduated in spring. I am not Baptist but we have loved the sweet spirit that those angels provided to my children over the last 5 years. My older kid always gets a hug when his old kindergarten teacher sees him at events for his younger sister. She knows him by name and you can't fake the love Ms. Carrie has for those kids. They love her right back. We are extremely comfortable in our faith and won't change churches but I count these people as some of the finest Christians I have ever known. I hate that they don't have the higher grades.

Publix Super Market

I love the store and the employees

This publix makes me feel like we are at the corner grocer and it's 1950 again. Everyone knows us and our kids by name. We have lived in the area 5 years and it never ceases to amaze me when the employees call me by name, ask about my kids, remember details I have said in the past, or when they always start casual conversations because they are genuinely happy to see us. I know Publix charges more for some items but I use the Buy One Get One Free offers and I stock up. Saves me a bundle. Besides, I couldn't eat Walmart meat. It has a strange grey color when I cook the beef. I tried Kroger down the street but I got tired of bringing back food that was rotten. I found outdated stuff in Kroger's dairy area on a regualr basis. I rather eat rice and beans 28 days out of the month but when I eat meat it has to be from publix. I also need produce and dairy from publix. You can get canned goods and staples from Walmart. But I won't compromise on the food that needs to be fresh.

O'Charley's

Sweet and efficient staff. great food

We have a large family with family members of all ages and it's hard to find a place that everyone loves. O'Charleys on Cobb Parkway never disappoints. Been going there for years and have never taken the time to review them. I am spending my evening thanking all the local businesses that make our lives pleasant. O'Charley's is at the top of the list. The manager walks around all evening and you will not get through your meal without him/her asking you how your meal was and then taking immediate action to correct whatever you think is substandard. They have a zero-tolerance for unhappy customers. It's almost embarassing how quick they are to fix your problems. And by problem I mean that the salad could have used a handful of tomatoes more.

Kim's Nail

RUDE! I left in the middle of the manicure.

If you're an unsophisticated redneck that doesn't know how you're supposed to be treated in a good salon, then this place will be great for you. If you know what a good mani-pedi is, if you know what courteous service is, then stay away from Kim's Nail. I wish I could give zero stars. Took my 5 year old daughter for to have a mani-pedi with me as well. Pedicure was basic. Nothing special. When the owner went to do my nails I told her the shape that I wanted and that I needed one nail repaired but I liked the rounded square shape that I currently have. I also told her I would like the repaired nail to be thin because I noticed the girl before me had thick acrylic nails that couldn't look any faker if she had chiclets glued on each fingertip. She told me, "I'm going to try to fix it but if it doesn't look the way you like you can go somewhere else. Don't try to tell me how to do my job". You can't teach a person like that to be a human being. I didn't waste my time telling her off so I told her, "I'm going to do as you suggested and I will go somewhere else...right now." I got in my car with my nails without nail polish and went to Serene Nails on CObb Parkway as a walk-in and had a great manicure. Perfect, in fact. Sonny was amazing. By the way, my daughter wanted rhinestones on her nails and toes. ONe on each finger and toe. She had that done at Kim's nails. All the rhinestones had fallen off by the time we got to Serene Nails. Sonny fixed that too.

Serene Nails and Spa

Great service and quality

I loved the service and the environment. I have gone there a couple of times and I just needed to put in a good word for the sweet people at Serene Nails. I have paid double for maicures and have never received better service than what I got from Serene. Had a great manicure and pedicure. I saw they did waxing and let them do my brows. So glad I did. I am paying bargain prices for the same quality I have paid a fortune for.

All Roof Systems, Inc.

Run away from this vendor-deserves neg 8 stars

Sub-standard quality of work. When we called to ask them to correct their errors, Earl Jackson, who actually owns the company (But prints his step-son's name, Roger Morlan, on the business cards)refused to correctly install missing shingles that they left off and to complete other work they were paid to do. He insulted us, screamed expletives, and slammed the phone down when we politely asked him to finish the work he was paid for. Good luck in finding a good roofer but save yourself from this group. P.S. This exact same company changed their name a few months ago from Cobb Roofing. Why does a company change its name but retains the same owner/manager? Most companies that do dependable work like to keep their old names because they have worked hard to maintain a good reputation in the community. Why do you suspect they changed their name? Wouldn't they want to have business sent there way by happy customers?
