Great place for ACTUAL running shoes
The place may seem expensive, but they don't carry the cheap crap you'll find at malls that aren't actually designed for RUNNING (Nike Shox, etc). Love the foot scans and video - I've been buying the wrong shoes for years, apparently. Good return/exchange policy, too. Won't go anywhere else the next time I need shoes, especially now that I know my EXACT size/model needed!

Horrible value - much cheaper options available!
First off, they completey ROBBED us of our security deposit. Although they replace carpets after move-out, they're charging us for a cleaning????? Excuse me??? And $50 to replace a knob that was allegedly broken???? Not when we left it wasn't!!!! This place was great when we moved in at the beginning of 2008. Lately it's become loud and crowded with families far too large for the apartments. I understand that it's more a "sign of the times" than anything else, but my wife and I just couldn't take living over a family of five that was crammed into a 2 bed apartment. Or being across a small field from a family of five. Or across the parking lot from a family of five. You get the picture.
We can smell neighbors' smoke and hear them loud and clear through the "walls" around the showers. Not fun!! Also, because of so many people sharing water heaters now, it's rare to have any hot water if taking a shower in the evening. I haven't seen it, but I KNOW water heaters are shared because of this. Also, the buildings have raging ant problems. They're deep in the foundation, and they're the biting ants, not the type simply attracted to a little big of sugar on the counter. In fact, they seemed to want nothing to do with food as they were never in the kitchen. Always in showers, closets, the guest room... gross.
It just isn't worth their asking price any more, I'd look elsewhere.

Awful experience
Not sure why this place is tagged under home repair, but it doesn't surprise me that they've screwed up communications.
If I had a choice I would never, ever use this company again to handle escrow. The lack of communication was appalling, as was the length of time they took to return our pad check. I suppose there's a chance it has to do with our escrow officer as a whole and not the whole company, but it's not a chance I'd recommend taking.

This place took me back a few decades!!!
WOW... I googled "Baseball card shop El Cajon" in search of a place that'd sell storage boxes and this place came up. I've driven by the office suite this place is in a hundred times but never saw it - the store isn't listed on the front address board. But WOW... they had EVERYTHING. Old, new, storage... seriously, everything. Old packs for a buck, old unopened boxes from $10... and they had everything new you could want, too. The staff was friendly when approached but not pushy as I browsed. This is seriously the best card shop I've ever been in. I will most definitely go back. And the best part is that all of their prices are low! Maybe a little higher than you'll find on ebay, but cheaper once you factor in the shipping. Seriously - check this place out!

Runners - don't look anywhere else.
As a store - they always beat everyone's prices. Champs, Footlocker, Foot Action... forget about 'em. I have always found shoes cheapest here; I don't even look anywhere else. If the store doesn't have what I'm looking for, I just go online to their website.
As for this particular store - they're a bit rude when trying to simply exchange a shoe. I recently purchased a pair of New Balances from their "$50 Spot" section, some model of Zips, and after just a handful of runs over a two week period they were bursting at the stitching near the tongue. Not what I've come to expect from NB. Certainly not FInish Line's fault, but they read me the riot act about how they wouldn't get credit for the shoe, they'd lose money, blah blah blah. Riiiight. Anyway, "just this once" they let me exchange - I was willing to pay extra for the next model up, since you always get what you pay for (I should've known). They must just get paranoid over chronic-returners because once I swiped my ID the guy was pleasant. He was very knowledgeable about the various running shoes they have and didn't push for the most expensive, just the best for my running conditions.
Anyway - runners go here. Make sure you like what you get since they're anal about returns, but I suppose that's to be expected. Just back up what you sell!!!!

Great food; a different problem ruined it
Food was amazing, no arguments there. Really fresh seafood. But I won a gift certificate in a fund raiser just over a month ago, and they nearly refused to honor it. They say that the certificate had expired over a year ago (illegal in CA, I've been told; though it's not like they had ANY date on it), as it was just a "seasonal" promotion. I would like them to explain why they're giving them out NOW for fund raisers/charities. Pretty lame of them to do.

Love this place
I'll admit that I don't go here often, and when I do it's mostly just to pick up a pound or so of peanut butter filled pretzels, but I do enjoy it. It's very similar to Henry's; if you like it there, you'll like it here. Good selection, always reasonable prices - especially on the stuff sold by weight in the bins.

They'll have what you're looking for...
... but they won't be happy to get it for you.
This place seriously has everything you could want with regards to sports apparel, especially for the Chargers. But YIKES, their employees all have chips on their shoulders and seem bitter about life.
It only seems to be the people at this particular Sports Fever; the people at the Fashion Valley couldn't be more helpful and have even tracked down hard to find items at other locations for me.
Don't avoid Sports Fever, they'll have what you want, just think twice about patronizing the Parkway Plaza location if you can help it.

Eh...
Went here once, but probably won't go back again. The seafood was OK, but not as good as I'd expected for pretty much a seafood only place. The drinks were fairly strong, but theres not enough of an atmosphere that I'd want to come on a weekend night. The service was slow, especially considering my wife and I were two out of maybe eight people eating there. They screwed up our orders, too.

Great place
I recently purchased a new glove from this place. I hadn't heard anything about it, I just pass it every time I hit the gym up there or go grocery shopping.
The price was reasonable - a little bit higher than online (to be expected), but cheaper than other area stores carrying the same product. It's a wide open store, and the smaller selection suprised me, conisdering the space they have. But what's great is that what they do carry is the best of the best, in every price range, too. Their gloves covered the whole price spectrum, without any of the crap you'll have to sort through at a used sporting goods store or a major chain.
I wouldn't go there to buy something small, like a batting glove, but you MUST stop here first when looking for equipment (which seems to be their specialty, anyways). I noticed they do glove repair, too.
Worth a look - it'll likely be your only stop if you're searching for a new glove or bat. The employees were really friendly, too.
