American Cleaners

Rude

I dropped off my dry cleaning here on a Wednesday before I was to head out of town on Sunday. I was told that it would be ready after 3 pm on Saturday. Okay, fine, no problem. According to the receipt they close at 5 PM. So I show up at 4:30 PM Saturday afternoon to pick up my shirts and pants that I had planned to wear for an important business meeting in Irvine, CA the following week. Guess what time the door says they close? 4:30 PM on Saturday, closed on Sundays. This leaves me having to run to the store to purchase new shirts to wear the following week, as the rest of my wardrobe is at my other house. Upon my return from California, I asked the guy behind the counter if he knew what time the receipt says that they close on Saturdays. His reply? Oh yes, that's a mistake... "sorry mate". That's okay. However, just to let you know, I had to go purchase new clothes just to make it to my meeting because of his mistake. What can he offer me in return? "Sorry mate, it's a genuine mistake." So I asked him to at least not charge me for the cleaning for the hassle I had to go through. We're talking $7 lousy dollars. Was he willing to budge? Nope. Not a penny. A genuine mistake is not one where the owner is willing to do nothing about it and even knows about the error. That's just plain incompetence. I'll never be back to this cleaners and have advised my friends around that area to do the same.

Amazon Cleaning Services

Unreliable

Robert from Amazon came out the day before the Superbowl to give us a quote. He apparently impressed my wife, so we decided to give them a try. On the paper he left us, it said they would be out on 2/11 at either 7 or 7:30, I forget which. Finally by 8:15, we left to go to work. I called and left a voicemail to inquire where they were.. they said they had it scheduled for 2/18. Fine. Then I get another call back saying they can't make it on 2/18, would a Wednesday be okay? No, we want a Monday cleaning service. So they offered to come the next Monday, 2/25. Got a call back shortly after saying 2/18 was okay after all. Two weeks later was supposed to be our next cleaning. I happened to oversleep this particular morning, but when they were supposed to be there by 7 am, showing up at 8 is not acceptable. They didn't call the day before like they said they would either. Though 250 words cuts this short, we're looking for a reliable cleaning service... something that Amazon is not.

Best Around

My wife and I go here every week to see Jamie (the Chiropractor) and every other week for a massage. I've enjoyed the massages I've gotten by everyone there. The price is reasonable, and everyone there is super friendly. We love this place!

Simply the Best!

It's been a few weeks since Matthew's was at our house, and I almost forgot to come write this review. We were very impressed with the level of service that Matthew and his team delivered. They did a wonderful job and at a reasonable cost. If you need a tree service, Matthew is your man!

Not Paying Your Bar Tab Anymore

So I heard an ad on the radio that reminded me I needed to come on here and write a review about my experience, although it looks like most of the previous posters have already done that for me. November 2006 I was shopping for an engagement ring. I had a previous ring that I was trading in, and to make a long story short, they charged me $130 saying they would have to send the ring back to the manufacturer. I noted that was BS, as the ring never left the box, and shipping is a cost of doing business. They offered to raise the price of the ring to take the $130 hit, which of course wasn't a good option either. It ended by Stan saying "Bottom line, I'm riding my Harley to the bar tonight, and you're paying the tab." I still have to buy the wedding set and my (groom's) ring... but hey Stan, you'll have to scam other customers out of their money first, cause I'm not spending another dime in your store. Oh, and thanks for the radio ad so I could remember to come write a review about ya'!
