NO HELP after defective work, severely overcharged
Mistakenly left a glowing review earlier on work performed on my Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel 4x4, the axles were rebuilt with new gears and master bearing install kits. An axle O ring behind the front right wheel hub failed and leaked out all of the oil, causing damage to the new axle bearings. This time K&S refused to back up their work, and tried to severely over charge me for the work to replace the $30 damaged seal that K&S broke, $422.
I promptly found another mechanic nearby that fixed it, new part included, for $150. I found that the old seal was damaged because K&S didn't lubricate the oil seal as he reassembled the front axle assembly, put it in dry. He lied to my face about it.
Later the outter bearing on the rear differential failed, solely the fault of K&S. I later learned that K&S had completely botched up the entire project. Though I provided this mechanic with factory printed out procedures, they ignored it botched it up, did not install outter bearing shims AT ALL, had to pay Kevin below to redo all of their botched work, another $1200.
K&S may charge a good price for work performed but it will be a joke and you are screwed after that.
A cheaper/better mechanic nearby named Kevin at Integrity Automotive 2715 Huff Dr (off Oak Rd) in Lawrenceville. Kevin had the specialized tools on hand (K&S had to borrow theirs) Kevin was the chief mechanic at Big 10 Tires off 78 in Lilburn, left to start his own shop.
Thank God for Kevin
