Great service, honest and very professional

I tried 2 other companies, neither of which bothered to show up, before I found Always Affordable. Bobby showed up on time and completed the work on my refrigerator quickly. He gave me a quote over the phone based on my description of the problem. It turns out that my description was a little off and after looking at the refrigerator he was able to fix the problem for less than originally quoted. In addition to fixing the problem I was having, he took care of an outstanding recall. I highly recommend Always Affordable to anyone in need of appliance repairs.

Custom built shower

I had framed out a shower in my basement and ran the water lines to it and asked David to finish it for me (hang Durock, frame the ceiling, tile entire shower including the ceiling, and install shower hardware). When all was said and done he did good work at a great price. I did have a problem, however, with how he handled a problem that came up during the job. The entire shower (including the ceiling) was supposed to be done with Durock – contract reads “Finish shower with framing and Durock (cut out hole for light/vent in the ceiling)”. At some point a decision was made, without consulting me, to do the ceiling with greenboard instead of Durock. I was no happy about this and asked David about it. He tried to tell me I said it was OK to do (which I did not) and the contract did not state the ceiling would be done in Durock (see line item from contract above) and refused to fix it (but did offer an extended warranty on the work). In the end I let it go so I could get the job finished. When all was done the shower looked great and I was happy with the end product but I would recommend making sure the contact you write with David is very detailed about the work which you expect to be completed.
