Great Experience - will use again

I contacted Don regarding some issues with our garage roof, that appeared to be caving in. He gave me a very detailed estimate over email and set a date for service. He arrived on time and did exactly what he said he would do. He is very cost conscience and looks for the best way to complete a job without spending too much money. He recommended alternatives and options where appropriate, always with a thought to price and quality of the finished product. He explained every step of the process to me as he completed the work. I was very happy and will definitely plan to contact him with future needs.

Great Service on a Holiday Weekend

Our sump pump broke on a Sunday. Called Ridgeway, and they returned my call an hour later. Sent Jon And James out first thing on Monday (Memorial Day). They replaced the sump pump within an hour. Alan gave me an estimate over the phone and they stuck to it. The guys wear uniforms and drive a marked truck. I'm very happy with their service.

HONEST! - CALL THEM BEFORE YOU HAVE ANY WORK DONE

We moved here in April and as part of our home inspection, had the chimneys and wood burning stove inserts cleaned and inspected. The previous owner called one of the "big name" companies, who told her that both chimneys were badly deteriorated inside and needed stainless steel liners, to the tune of $2500 each. She told us she suspected this man wasn't being honest because he claimed to have dropped a camera down for the inspection, but she never saw the footage. We bought the house anyway, and I decided to get three estimates for the liners, fully expecting that we needed the liner. I used the same company who had done the inspection, another "big name" company, and A Certified Chimney Sweep. Both of the first two insisted we needed the stainless steel liners, and that it would be dangerous to use the fireplace without them. The cost was $2200-$2500 each. Mr. Richardson came out today, looked inside, and told me that not only do we not need ANY repairs done to the interior of the chimney, but it already has a 5 foot stainless steel liner, which is all it needs. I am FURIOUS that the other two companies tried to pull this nonsense, but am so happy I called A Certified Chimney Sweep. I had him inspect the outside of the chimney and he found one minor (and cheap) problem, and that was it. I just saved $2000+ by calling them, and this will be the only company I call from now on.

I QUESTION THEIR HONESTY

We were told by this company that we needed extensive repairs to the inside of our chimney, that it would be "dangerous" to use, and the quote was in the thousands of dollars. I called a competitor, who inspected and informed me there is no damage, the fireplace is fully functional, and that if we continue to get it cleaned regularly, we'll have no problem. The latter company didn't even charge for the service call.

Recommended unnecessary repairs

They recommended thousands of dollars of repairs to our fireplace. I had a smaller competitor out today who inspected and said nothing was wrong, and as long as I have my fireplaces cleaned annually, they will be fine. The latter didn't charge a service call and has been in business for 25 years, so I can't imagine why he'd say this if it weren't true.

They did a fantastic job

We moved here recently from out of town, and moved into a lot with many dead or leaning trees. One fell during a storm recently (not on the house, thankfully), so I started making calls. I got quotes from at least 6 companies, and ended up going with 1-800-Tree-Expert. I have no regrets. Mark worked hard to get our business and came out several times, even on weekends, while I tried to make up my mind as to which trees should come down. Once I made a decision, he gave me a very fair deal. His crew was here on time and worked hard, and when they were done, everything looked perfect. We had asked them to mulch the trees on site so we could use the mulch on our playground area; not only did they provide us with PLENTY of mulch, they even spread it around the playground for us! At the end of the work, Mark walked me around the property to make sure I was happy with all the work that was done and the condition of our property. He is very, very concerned that his customers are happy with the results and won't leave until he knows he and his crew have done a good job. I will definitely use them again.

All Four Seasons Garage Doors

VERY fast service

Our laser safety guards stopped working, and I attempted to fix them myself and make it worse. I called All Four Seasons at 8:30 a.m. this morning, after reading a good review in my homeowner's association manual. They sent a technician out by 9:00 a.m. He fixed it quickly, and noted a broken pulley, which he asked permission to fix (and which was a very cheap addition). He also nailed up some weather stripping that he noticed was coming loose. They were very quick, very professional, and I will definitely use them in the future.
