CNN Studio Tours

Fun tour!

The CNN tour is a fun way to spend a couple hours in Atlanta. You really do get a behind the scenes look and can watch the news being broadcast worldwide. Also fun to see how they do the green screen weather thing.

Perkins

Late Night Fare

Great service here and a staff that really cares about their customers. The food is your typical Perkins fare, which means it's a good "American" style meal with not a lot of frills. The prices are decent, and they're open late!

Riverfront Park

Expo '74 no more!

Originally part of the 1974 World's Fair, Riverfront Park is a favorite destination when visiting Spokane. Whether visiting the carousel, garbage eating goal, giant red wagon (slide down the handle!), seeing an IMAX movie, ice skating in the pavilion, or taking a gondola ride over the falls, Riverfront Park has something for everyone. Prices are a tad high, but you can really spend as much or as little as you want.

The Farmer's Market

Fun place for everyone.

Every visitor to Los Angeles must spend a few hours at the Farmers Market. There's lots of fun shops and stalls, great ethnic food and ice cream, fun souvenirs, and it's a great place to people watch. And when you get tired here, you can pop over to the Grove for a more upscale shopping experience.

Rob's Seafoods & Burgers

High School Hangout

Rob's is a Post Falls classic. Get a burger, some fries, and a shake and let it take you back! The service here is good, and the prices are fair. Grab a booth and enjoy your meal.

The Coach Store At Farmers Market

Window Shopping!

I absolutely locve this Coach soter. First, it's just plain fun to shop at The Grove, second, this Coach merchandise is BEAUTIFUL!! Their prices are out of this world, of course, but it's still fun to just look.

Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen

Drive-Thru Only

Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen is one of those places that, if you don't know about it, you just don't know about it. It's been in the same tiny building forever, and it's yummy biscuits are only available to go. I highly recommend adding their grilled onions to whatever you get!

The Bon Marche The Vly Mall

Shop The Bon!

The Bon Marche remains my idealized view of a department store. They have almost everything you could want, whether apparel, jewelry, or cosmetics, and their service is better than most. This Valley location is convenient too.

Safeway Stores

Great Safeway Service!

For a small town Safeway, this location has a surprisingly good selection of groceries, and a wonderful deli counter. The staff is friendly, despite the fact that they always seem busy. Definitely one of the better Safeways I've visited.

Skipper's Seafood 'n Chowder

Chips 'n' Vinegar

I'm not big on seafood, but I do love Skippers fried chicken and "chips" -- that's fries for the uninitiated. The thing I like best about this Skippers location (and maybe it's true of them all), is that they have a couple different kinds of vinegar available to shake onto your fries. YUMMM! Service is okay here.
