MG+BW = 5 stars
Shopping for a couch in Atlanta is HARD! Unless you want the Rooms to Go status quo, or the overpriced MDF from national chains, you don't have many options. Enter Mitchell Gold. I always thought their real estate location made them WAY out of my budget. Not true. A perfect balance of casual & sophisticated, comfort & style, and quality & affordability. (they actually manufacture many of the sofas sold by Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, Restoration Hdwre, etc) Their 20% off sale doesn't hurt! Claudia was incredibly helpful helping us choose the right fabric for our lifestyle, the right color for our lighting, and the right finishes to fit our space. Haven't even rec'd the sofa and I'm in love! Custom orders take 4-6 wks, and white glove delivery is available.

Lovely...even as a walkin on Mother's Day!
My nails were desperate for some TLC and I didn't feel like trekking near my office to my usual salon. After reading great reviews, I stopped by the neighborhood salon. I was quite impressed. I hadn't thought about it being mothers day, but my wait was only 10-15 minutes--even though they were packed. I had a pedi-then-mani, and it took a while. Next time I'll do them simultaneously. Prices were fair. Compared to Laura's Nails down the street, many more chairs & better prices.

HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
My fiance and I had a terrible experience with our first jeweler who attempted to design my engagement ring, and we ended up walking away from them. We needed to have the temporary setting changed for a permanent one. BRAD TO THE RESCUE!!! I found him on Kudzu, and we stopped in. They showed me several options of just what I was looking for, and I just couldn't choose. They ordered several settings for me and had them all in within 48 hours for me to try on and pick out the perfect setting. Once I picked it out, they told me it might take 24 hours to set the stone (which left me ringless). When I got home from work that night, my fiance surprised me (for the second time) with the perfect engagement ring! Talk about a quick turnaround--4 hours!! The next day, I ran into Brad in the grocery store--and he recognized me!! Brad is also setting my wedding band, using stones from my fiance's grandmother's ring. Brad will get all of our wedding jewelry business and who knows what else in the future--no questions asked! UPDATE (1/4/09): Not only did our wedding bands turn out amazing (featured in Southern Weddings fall issue, no doubt), but my new hubby also went to Brad for my first married Christmas present. Beautiful diamond stud earrings. Yep, "He went to BRAD!" (and not one of those mall or big box jewelers).

SMILING in the POURING down rain
Brandon & Melissa were VERY accomodating with our drop-off/pick-up schedule. The driver, Carl, was SO friendly when he delivered the box. It was a torrential downpour, and he still had a smile the entire time. They're by far the best value we found for 8 months of storage while we have our condo on the market. We fit an overstuffed loveseat, desk, 3 bar stools, 2 bookshelves, a sewing machine, and umpteen boxes into one unit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Crab cakes return!!
They removed their crab cakes from the regular menu, but I was delighted to find them offered as the special this weekend! What a special it was, too!! Lots of lump cramb...not too much breading. Great flavor and served with a zesty slaw. Our server was very patient with us. A reliable staple for comfort food in a casual atmosphere.

Opening Night was a blast
I attended the restaurant's Opening Night and was very impressed. The owner is formerly of Baccanalia I believe, and he's returned to the biz after surviving cancer. Vita, meaning LIFE in Italian, is a new start for him. The food, beverages (and liberal bartenders), and ambience was so much fun! I haven't yet been back to test it in an "everyday" setting, but it's on my to-do list!

Great anytime
Whether a family dinner or a get-together with friends Wisteria is a great place. Central location off of Freedom Pkwy hardly sees traffic. Good bar and neat, cozy atmosphere. Be sure not to get a table too near the door on cold nights though...I've had friends who've frozen. They were very accomodating for a small surprise party a while back. My boyfriend's brother flew in to surprise his parents for Mother's Day. They pre-set the table for one less person so it wouldn't be too obvious that our "mystery guest" would be joining us. They played it very very well!

Great Happy Hour
Good, casual, unpretentious after-work crowd. Great place to watch a sporting event in an upscale atmosphere, meet an associate for lunch, or spend happy hour. Fresh fish dishes daily.

Good cheap Mexican
They've covered the basics of a Mexican restaurant...good cold cerveza, tasty cheese dip, and hot tacos.
