Window Genie

Posted on: 2/5/2013

Don't use them to pressure wash

The first technician did not do a good job on the pressure washing. There were several obvious spots and whole sections of the house that were missed. When he came back the second time he had a bad attitude and insisted that it couldn't be cleaned. A second technician came out for a third cleaning and again insisted that the spots could not be cleaned that they were under the paint and the only way to get them clean was to strip the paint off the house. The owner said that it couldn't be cleaned if he crew couldn't get it clean. Our painter easily wiped the spots off with a rag. I watched him do this. Obviously the spots were not under the paint and it was not impossible to get them clean. My conclusion is that Window Genie is either incompetent or they are all liars. Either way I expected a refund and was refused. We were told that Window Genie was paid to pressure wash and that we should not have had the expectation that they would actually get the house clean. We were very disappointed in this response.

Winters Chapel UMC Preschool

Great all-around school

I have be so pleased with Winters Chapel Preschool. My child always comes home happy and they fill his days with many new experiences. The children are introduced to Math and Science, Languages, Yoga, Music, and so much more. The teachers are loving and truly care about each child. When I talk with parents of children in other schools, I always come away from the conversation glad that I made the choice that I did. Winters Chapel exposes the children to so much more and does it in a small, loving environment. I couldn't be happier with our choice.

Sandy Springs Locksmith

Posted on: 2/11/2007

Stay away from these guys -- it was horrible!

Update -- just a few weeks later and our doorknob has literally fallen off! We recently commissioned Sandy Springs Locksmith our external locks. Our need was assessed over the phone by an “expert”, but the first locks did not match and the second set did not have the functionality we requested. It took three trips to resolve. The installer was rude, argumentative and unpleasant. And we were overcharged. The installer was late for the first appointment and a no show for the next two. In one instance we were told that our appointment had been pre-empted by another customer. When we eventually got the locks we wanted, we were charged for two grades higher then what we got to make up for the cost of buying back the wrong locks. Basically we had to pay for their mistakes. If we refused they would not take back the incorrectly installed locks and we would end up paying twice. No one ever apologized for the miscommunications or the problems they caused and we listened to continuous snide remarks. We finally got locks that do meet our need, but it took three weeks, we arranged to be home to meet them on 5 separate occasions we took an hour at lunch to visit their location, I locked myself in our basement for an afternoon, we had to deal with this horribly unpleasant man, and we ended up paying for a higher quality lock then what was installed.

Pappi Tates Auto Service

Highly recommend

Excellent work! Super fast! Fair price! Honest mechanic! Friendly service! My car has needed a lot of work and I have put it off for a long time. I went to Pappi Tates on the recommendation of a friend and am very happy that I did. These guys are straight shooters. They weren't trying to see how much they could take me for -- they told me what I absolutley needed and what could wait. There was no pressure to have everything done all at once because I told them that budget was an issue. They quoted me a fair price and stuck to it. They said the car would be ready by 5:00 and actually had it ready an hour earlier. I was extrememly happy with the experience and have no problem recommending it to anyone.

1866U-MOVING

Never again!!!

The move was incredibly slow and unprofessional. The movers did not show any since of urgency. There was no hustle at all. During most of the move at least one of the movers was standing around waiting for the other one, watching the other one, or talking with the other one. We were paying 2 men by the hour, but felt like we only got 1.5 men (if that). There was a lengthly discussion about almost every piece before they would move. Basically they were very inefficient and not at all concerned about time. I think the move took about twice as long as it should have. I have moved several times with friends helping and have a pretty good idea of how long it takes. In addition to being slow, the movers complained and grumbled about the heavy pieces and the size of the doorways (which are normal size). They acted like they would not be able to put our couch in the living room. I would have expected professionals to know how to handle this situation, but it required another lenghtly consultaion and a lot of grumbling. It ended up fitting through easily. There was also some damage. The corner of the couch was torn. A cabinet was broken because the shelves were not removed before it was wrapped. The boxes were thrown around and stacked everywhich way including upside down with no concern for fragile items. Never again!!!!
