Service has gone downhill

I planned my workday around a 4-hour window for my appointment with Moncrief. The window came and went. No call. No show. When I called to ask if the technician was coming, I learned he was busy and couldn't make it. They offered me another window of time and expressed no concern over the missed appointment or the fact that no one called to tell me. Too bad.

Thorough and Knowledgeable

Wow. I used Inspectors Associates for a recent home inspection and I'm extremely pleased. Stan and Sean were true professionals - prompt, thorough and knowledgeable. They took the time to show me each item of concern and provided a clear and detailed report fully customized for my new home, not the standard boilerplate content used by many inspectors. Highly recommended.

Personal touch of a family-owned business

Thermaguard recently replaced a roof for my complex of 20 townhomes. From the start they were reliable. They completed the work on schedule, on budget with personal follow-up. Highly recommended.

Mediocre

If your expectation is to get the same old service and the same inflated recommendations and quotes, these guys are fine. They checked out AC problems and were very quick to recommend a complete replacement. Calls were not returned when I asked about the cost of replacing a single part. I got a quote from a competitor for a more efficient Trane model with additional warranty at $3k less. Pro: Technician showed up on time.

Jim Ellis Volkswagen of Atlanta

Typical dealer

I've used Jim Ellis a handful of times and have experienced typical dealer service. The quality of the work is fine. The prices are too high. And the customer bears the expense and inconveniece of any wrong order, scheduling error or delay.

Awful!

I would not recommend this service provider to anyone under any circumstances. I hired them for a bathroom remodel. The bulk of my project was tile installation. The tile workers were extremely sloppy and left a mess every day (grout in my carpet, cigarette butts in my plants, their tools all over). I had to request multiple times that they return my extra materials and fixtures. Their work was subpar and they left the project incomplete. The contractor had to hire another sub to finish the tile work and then rip out and repair the work of the first crew. Beyond the tile, there were several missed appointments from other subcontractors. More than two months into what was supposed to be a two-week project, I finally hired someone else to finish the job. The only positive of this project was the painters. They did a good job.

This is my new auto repair shop!

I'm so pleased to have found a reliable shop to work on my VW. Bernies treated me with respect from the first and they completed the work just as we discussed for a very reasonable price. Alex delivers a level of customer service you just don't get from most others.

Alfredo's

Salute!

This place is old school all the way -- from the dimly lit dining room with low ceilings and no frills to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin crooning in the background. Your server has been here for 30 years and treats his regular clientele like family. The menu is nothing special, but the food is good. The old favorites are there. The garlic bread is soaked in butter, and addictive. Save room for cannolis. When you return, you'll be family.

Easy and good

I have them programmed into my cell phone to order take out on my way home. Unlike some places, the beans and rice actually have flavor. Fish tacos are my favorite.

Not your average Chinese

Upscale chinese food may seem like an oxymoron, but this place gives it a whirl. The food is fresher and less fried than traditional take out/buffet options. It seems a little pricier, too. The building is a renovated house and is beautifully decorated. The offer take out and delivery, but it'd be a shame to miss out on the ambiance.
