Chipper LLC Tree Service

Posted on: 6/6/2011

Good value, but......

After calling Chipper LLC to have a quote for an estimate to trim and prune some trees in my yard, I received a call from an estimator Jason. Jason came out to my place for an estimate the week before Memorial Day weekend and I spoke to him over the phone with instructions on the work required in my yard. I would say that the phone staff was very friendly, and so was estimator Jason. Their price was very competitive too, but ultimately, I don't think the quality and attention to detail was that great. There were branches that were trimmed from one tree and left behind for some reason (all the other trees were removed). As well, it looked like ALL of the trimming was done with a chain saw and they never used a pruning tool [I must disclose that I was not actually home when they did the work. It was possible that since it was a Friday before Memorial Day weekend, they were in hurry to be done and didn't do a thorough as job as many other contractors as I have used on Kudzu with great success. I must say that I was a little disappointed in the quality of work. On the bright side, they did come back out quickly to remove the branches and "prune" some of the remaining limbs that I believe should have been taken care of in the first place.

Action Septic Pro, LLC

I'm suprised at the number of 5 star reviews....

Let me start by saying that I'm disappointed with my experience with Action Septic. I consistently use 5 star contractors and vendors and I'm surprised by the number of 5 star reviews they have received. Contractors that have 5 star ratings usually do so for a good reason. After reading the reviews and then speaking to Gary about pumping my septic tank, I was looking forward to working with them. When I spoke to him on the phone, I indicated that my home was originally built in the 80ís and that I believe the septic tank had never been pumped (nor were there any records from the county). From the time his guys arrived (I must disclose that Gary was not on-site for this job), to the time they were finished, I was continually up sold on treatments, additional work, etc. I was quoted $1750, and was told "if you do it now, it's cheaper because we are already on-site". They great thing about doing preventative maintenance, you are never under any pressure to have any work done and are able to receive quotes from other companies. In the end, I found someone else to do the same work for $250! My best piece advice is to exercise caution when thinking about using these guys. You may want to try another 5 star contractor for your septic needs. If anybody wants to discuss or repute this, let me know and I will be more than glad to share my experience.

Atlanta Floor One

Awesome

Just like everyone else has indicated, Rudy does a fantastic job. Rudy installed my laminate floors in a timely fashion and delivers exactly what he says he is going to do. There is a good reason he has 5 stars from everyone. My only hope is that he does not become too busy where his quality goes down along with his service :-) Once again, great job Rudy!

Chem-Dry Atlanta

Very Poor Customer Service

Yes, I completely agree with Cynthian... buyer beware. I originally posted a review for Atlanta Chem Dry (1395 W. Marietta Pkwy) back in January of 2008 (see review below). Fast forward a year and half later. Again it was time for my carpets to be cleaned, so once again I phoned around to the different Chem Dry's and Chem Dry Atlanta came out the cheapest once again. I explained on the phone that I had my carpets cleaned previously with them and also detailed the number of rooms, layout, and square footage. I was quoted $120. Once they came out to clean my carpets, the bill suddenly jumped to $180. I was told that because of the layout, i.e. a 30 sqft hallway and a 15 sqft closet, there would be an additional charge. I ended up paying the amount because I figured I could call and deal with the business directly (not the person cleaning my carpet), and have it resolved. After repeated attempts, I was told the owner would call me back, but never did. I informed the lady on the phone, that the final price ($180) was more than the highest price of all the other Chem Dry locations. One location even had a 4 room special for $150, and another had an entire house for $170. Based upon the customer service at Atlanta Chem Dry, I would NOT use the franchise located at 1395 S. Marietta Pkwy, Marietta, GA.

Atlantic Auto Glass

Can't Complain!

I ended up calling about 10 different mobile windshield replacement companies and Atlantic Auto Glass was definitely the cheapest of all of them. They were able to come out the next day and arrived at my office and installed the new windshield in about 40 minutes. So far so good! Keep up the good work.
