I Got Beat - Keep Your Receipts!
I bought wooden external French doors for $1000 (for my deck). A year later the door started to fall apart, literally! I'm usually very diligent at keeping receipts but couldn't find this particular receipt anywhere:( It was mind-boggling to me that Lowe's didn't have any record of me even purchasing this door. Therefore I had no recourse in trying to get the door fixed/replaced. I am livid and couldn't believe only a year later they had no record of this $1000 purchase. They made me feel like they didn't care about my problem because they were already paid! So, now I'm stuck with this door that I will undoubtedly have to pay someone else to repair:( How do you stay in business with such poor customer service?
