Lilburn Auto Center posted on 11/9/2009
An HONEST repair shop finally?
I bought my car here for a wheel alignment and based on my first visit; I will probably take my car back here in the future. I had been only going to the dealer for the past five years; but often its hard to get an appointment when you need one. Also I do not trust repair shops to begin with as they try to up sell the crap out of you and sometimes don't even do the work. I decided to give Lilburn Auto Center a chance as I was referred to them by Discount Tire Co. When I was getting my alignment done I expected them to come back to me and tell me something else was wrong with my car; but they never did; no up sells and no B.S. The only thing he said was that I may have had a bad tire which I kind of suspected anyway. But instead of trying to sell me another one he said if wasn't that bad and and didn't have to replace it unless I absolutely wanted to. Despite my good experience; I am still a little cautious due to the plethora of shady shops out there but I WILL go to these guys again as they seem to be honest. More good visits should alleviate my apprehension and hopefully this will be the only shop I have to go to from now on.

Spalding Dental Center posted on 11/6/2009
wonderful experiences
Unfortunately I had to change dentists because I don't live as close to Spalding Dental Center as I used to. However my multiple experiences here were great (considering the circumstances). I had been going here for over 7 years and the Dr. has filled cavities, removed my 4 wisdom teeth, in addition to routine services with no issue. While many other places will try to up-sell you on things you don't need; this place ONLY does things that are absolutely necessary. The doctor is wonderful and does a very good job in making potentially very painful procedures as comfortable as possible. In fact even when he removed my widsom teeth; I didn't even need take the pain meds he prescribed afterwards. I love the staff as well and they are very polite. There was only one billing issue within those 7 years and it was resolved without me having to foot the bill. I hate not being able to come here anymore and if I hadn't moved, this still would be my regular dentist. In any case, Spalding Dental Center is HIGHLY recommended for anyone looking for a reputable dentist.

AirMaster Heating and Air Inc. posted on 10/11/2009
Company that you can actually trust
When it comes to repair companies like plumbing, electricity and A/C heating service most of these guys are out to rip you off and do not care about the customer unless their spending 100's of dollars. However one exception to this is AirMaster Heating and Air. These guys are absolutely great. I had someone come over to do routine maintenance on my heating and a/c systems. Unfortunately we ran into a snag, however they made it right without me having to make numerous calls to them. Like I said before these guys are about the customer and they have earned my business. Many companies claim the are all about Customer Satisfaction, but AirMaster are the only ones that actually back it up. Its just too bad they don't do plumbing and electrician services as well!

Sutherlin Nissan Mall of Georgia, LLC posted on 10/10/2009
Typical shady dealer
My wife and I was in the market for a pre owned vehicle. After searching the web for good deals on Altimas we saw one that was in our price range at Sutherlin. I should have known it was too good to be true, but decided to drive 15 miles to this dealership anyway. Needless to say I should have stayed home. When we arrived, we couldn't even get completely out of the car without a salesman breathing down our neck. I told him about the Altima I saw online and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about and even suggested that we were at the wrong dealership. (That's funny, I didn't know that there was more than one Sutherlin Nissan in Buford near the Mall of Georgia). After about 20 minutes of "talking to his manager", he was able to track the car down in the service department. He warned us that there was a little damage to the front end. But when I actually saw the car, it was much more than a little bit of damage. The whole front bumper was cracked, dented and was even missing some pieces. The salesmen then had the nerve to tell us it only would cost a couple of hundred dollars to fix. Yeah, right; the bumper alone is that much, and add a new paint job, you easily could be looking at $500 - $600. I then realized why the internet person "forgot" to put the car photo on on their site. We told him no thanks then we had to endure more of his BS stories before we finally left. Avoid this place.

Scotts Lawn Service posted on 7/31/2009
I'm cancelling; salespeople are very pushy
Interestingly enough I started using Scotts after discovered the lazy TruGreen person wasn't treating my whole lawn. Scotts was good at first but lately I have been unhappy with their service. The first issue I had is when they applied the Lime treatment to my lawn WITHOUT my permission and wanted to stick me with the bill. After 2 calls, that issue was resolved. However about 6 weeks ago, I got a call from Scotts "recommending" a Fungus treatment, I told him I wasn't interested yet it took me nearly 5 minutes of telling him "no" for him to get the message. The final straw for me was when 3 weeks later, he call me AGAIN asking me to get the Fungus treatment. AGAIN I tell him no, then he attempts to force me to purchase the treatment, when I tell him no for the final time, he gets an attitude and says "ok, sir good luck". To be fair, they do a pretty good job with the lawn, but I don't appreciate having them trying to force me to purchase overpriced treatments I don't want in the first place. One "No" should be enough, but somehow these guys just don't get it. As soon as I find another company to do my lawn, I'm getting rid of Scotts.

Pretty good experience.
There were a some problems including them not showing up for their scheduled visit and a small issue with the actual work, but that was resolved once the work was actually complete. There were also some issues in getting the insurance straightened out with them, but overall a pretty good experience once everything was sorted out. Many people in my neighborhood used them as well and they seemed satisfied which is why I decided to go with them as well. Unfortunately, I ended up as one who fell through the cracks as my experience wasn't quite as smooth as others. But I do realize that things like this can sometimes happen especially if they are busy covering a large area like the city of Atlanta. In any case, I am satisfied with the actual work that was done.

Pretty good job
We took our car up here to get the timing belt replaced. They charged about 20% less than other independent shops, and more than likely 50% less than the overpriced dealers. The car was done when it said it would be, but it required a couple of more trips for them to get it right as there was a strange helicopter sounds coming from under the hood while driving. They seemed more than willing to resolve the issue without any resistance and finally they ended up doing the job again from scratch and I have had no problems with the car since then.

America's Service Station posted on 6/13/2009
Rip off artists (Lawrenceville location)
My wife has been taking one of our cars here for the past 2 or 3 years; at first they have only did things like change the oil and other basic tasks. Last year, the car required a brake job and this is when things went down hill. After the brake job was done, there was a loud wailing sound every time the brake was pressed. Long story short it took 3 more trips and ultimately another $200+ for something they caused. Recently, the car had an issue with the brake lights not going off even when the brake pedal was not pressed. My wife took it up there again and they wanted over $85 to fix it. I told her that that was too much money and that I would try to fix it myself. After working on it myself, I discovered all that needed to be done was replace the worn out rubber stopper with the spare that was ALREADY in the car behind the brake pedal; No need for a new $35.00 switch or an hour of labor; on top of that, even IF I needed the new switch, the same one sold at Auto Zone for $8.99!! It took me all but 5 minutes to fix the problem, but they wanted to charge her over $85. They even tried to scare her into staying by saying stuff like driving the car while it was in that "condition" could damage it further and that their warehouse would be closing soon, but I told her not to fall for such scare tactics. Avoid these people; if not right away, they will eventually try to rip you off. Looks like my wife and I will be finding a new shop for this car.

As dishonest as they come
I called these people to get a quote on a repair for an outdoor outlet that stopped working. The electrician came to my house and noticed that the rear outdoor outlet wasn't working either. He initially wanted to charge over $200 to repair them, but when my wife refused he called the office and gave her a "discounted" commercial rate of $174. Wisely, my wife still refused. I had forgotten all about it until tonight when I realized that the outlet in the garage wasn't working either. Unlike the two outdoor outlets, this one had a reset button. I reset the outlet and voila all three outlets started working again. Why didn't the electrician check this FIRST instead of wanting to charge nearly $200 when all that was needed was a press of a stupid button? If you ever had a reason to distrust an electrician, Mr. Electric is it. Avoid this dishonest, crooked company unless you like being ripped off!

SonyStyle posted on 3/20/2009
Snooty and Rude
This is by far the snootiest store I have ever been in. Upon walking in the store you are followed around the store by a member of the Loss Prevention Team (i.e. Security Guard), and questions from about items they sell to what time they close are returned with rudeness. Kudzu doesn’t allow enough space to detail my experience, but to make a long story short, I purchased my 160 GB PS3 bundle from a Best Buy store that provided a much better shopping experience with much less attitude. As far as this Sony Style store, I will never return. I complained about my treatment in the Sony Style store on Sony’s website and was promptly contacted by a CSR who forwarded my complaint to the Regional Manager. I was told I would be contacted in a few days, but it’s been a FEW months and still no contact. This leads me to believe that the rude and snooty behavior at this particular Sony Style store is encouraged and nothing will be done to correct it. From what I’ve seen, all the items sold in the Sony Style store can be purchased elsewhere. So unless you like being treated rudely and just being around extreme snootiness, then I suggest you take your business to another store. The employees here are not interested in helping customers; they rather treat customers as if they are beneath them just for the simple fact they work in a “Sony Style” store.
