WOW
Having lived in San Francisco, I ate art least once a week at some Russian deli. Finally, I have found a Russian eatery here in Wonderbread San Diego.
Funky, bohemian and very hearty. The salmon and chicken dumplings were great with plenty of sour cream/yogurt sauce.
The borscht was also good and the blue cheese meatballs(the size of mini meatloafs), were excellent!
The waitress actuallly apologized for their size!
My sincere compliments to the chef.
I'lllllll be baaaaack.

Best View of The City!
Best view of San Diego's skyline, bar none! When I was there, we were not rushed from our table. Book your reservation around an hour before sundown to see the sklyline go from light to dark.
Very classy place with seafood supreme on the menu.
Take your spouse here or a high class date.

A Hole in the Wall
Instead of calling it Brick by Brick, a Hole in the wall is better: tucked away on a side street, this place is the kind where you might have seen Kurt Colbain practice in,,,for free.
Large open space, local bands, chill crowd.

Blue Foot Bar and Lounge is fast becoming the *place du jour* on my list.
Large areas with plenty of seating and the door guy(African-Aerican dude) is waaaaaay cool! You can bring in food from Lefty's down the satreet and kick it ole skool while chugging yer fav brew.

If you are a local, The Jewel Box is one of two bars worth goint to. The other is Tivoli's. Good bar grub and local friendly crowd. Easy quick access to the 94 East freeway where the cops never have drunk driving checkpoints, Not even on St Pats Day!

Sushi Deli One
Sushi Deli One is smaller and getts just as packed around dinnertime. This is first one, so Sushi Deli 2 is better.
