Disappointed from the 1st call. Free means Free

I'm in the process of looking for a new pet sitter and placed calls with several sitters in my area. When I received a call from the "pet lady" I was highly disappointed. I thanked the caller for returning my call and instead of the "pet lady" telling me all about her services and asking about my needs (which all the other sitters did when they called). I simply got a cold "do you have any questions for us". So I began to ask questions and finally told that I could set up a "FREE" in house consultation. I thought to myself what is the big deal and why does she keep saying "FREE"? Don't all decent in home pet sitting services have to come in to meet your pet and get the lay of the land? After I set up an in-house consultation with the "pet lady" I was then told that I would have to PRE BOOK 3 visits in order to get a "FREE" in home consultation. At that time I thought is this the old bait and switch ploy? I told the "pet lady" that both of my parents were to have surgery in the next several months and was not sure as to the exact dates I would be going away, she again repeated 3PRE BOOKED VISITS for a FREE CONSULATION. Does that mean I have to commit to a service before I meet them? I was really taken a back by a simple 3 minute call with the "pet lady" and also felt as if my business (never mind my pets) were not important to her. I find that fact AMAZING since we are in such tough economic times and that small businesses are closing their doors at high rates of speeds.:-(

Alfredo is the best! His services are A+, my carpets look better than they ever have. Alfredo and his team are professional, courteous, were on time and did an excellent job cleaning not only my carpets but area rugs. You won't be disappointed!!

Give your pooch a bath

What a treat...give your pooch a bath and no clean up for you. I wish my bathroom/tub was so nice. You have to check it out...its like taking your dog to the salon but w/ no appointments and you bathe your own doggie. Beside the great doggie baths, their pet supplies are top notch (natural foods, planet friendly toys etc.) & they are very afforable. Also the owners, Patsy & Renee are top notch!! No matter what type of rider you are, Smyrna Bicycles are the experts. They just don't sell bikes or brands, they honestly want to sell the right bike for you. Customer service is fantastic...A+++++ AND if they don't have a bike that will fit your needs, they have no problem recommending another bike store. Which is definetly not what I experienced with other bike stores in Atlanta. They are a class act!!!!

I've used Critter Sitters for 10 year and Pat has been my sitter since 2003. I love & trust her with my most prized possessions.....Sunnie, Stanley, Sammie & Coley. Critter Sitters are the best & Pat is even better!!!!!

Bike Snobs :(

I hate to say it but they are. Do they know bikes....yes, but at the same time they have an idea about what a bike rider is and looks like....which limits their knowledge & selling ability. They offer no options if you don't fit in their "small box" of ideas. Great place if you are a homogenized rider, other wise venture out and support other bike shops that truely want your business no matter who you are or what type of rider you are. Good luck!

I love my cats & Good Mews

I adotped Stanley (12 yrs old) and Coley (8 yrs old) from Good Mews last July (2007) & I can't remember my life before them. Good Mews wants to match the right cat/kitten w/ the right family & they follow up with you after the adoption to make sure you and your new cat/kitten are doing well and they offer advice & guidance for you and your new "babies".
