Surpising Little Spot
A nice spot for a tasty, fresh lunch. It would be great to try their dessert varieties, because their selection always looks terrific.

Professional, Personable and Dedicated
Although Dr. Angus is not my direct OB/GYN, I've had multiple apointments with this amiable and insightful physician. On one occasion, I had an appointment with him after a very long day, where he had already worked at the hospital for many hours. He was exhausted, but he never allowed his commitment to excellence falter and spent as much time as necessary to dissect a problem. I always said that if my OB/GYN is not on call the day that I go into labor, Dr. Angus would be my second choice. I was very fortunate to get my wish, because he was the physician on call the morning that my water broke at 36 weeks. He made prudent decisions but remained incredibly respectful of my wishes and requests.

Hire More Nutritionists and Fewer Car Salesmen
I fully acknowledge that the basis of this program is great, because it does try to instill better eating habits in general--portion control, less sodium intake, etc. However, overall, I believe that QWLC's business practices need improvement. In addition, please be aware of several other specific factors. First, there are hidden costs that you should inquire about up front in addition to the already high fee. Second, QWLC may promote their program as one, where you can eat what you purchase at the grocery store. This is not entirely true, because you are basically "forced" to spend a lot of money on their snack bars, etc., even if you know of far healthier alternatives. The reason: If you don't consume exactly what they ask you to, they will not guarantee the plan. Third, do yourself a favor and make sure that you understand the FULL scope of the plan, before you sign up for the program. Based on my extraordinarily hectic schedule and health concerns, I would have reconsidered risking my investment and my health, if I were made aware of the other details preemptively. As someone who has always had healthy habits anyway and is very willing to embrace newer, better habits, I still feel this way. Last, it's clear that the staff at this location have minimal knowledge regarding nutrition, scientific research, etc., even if that information or those studies have been well publicized - a bit troubling. I don't like the reality that I know more than they.

Talk About a Waste of Time
If I had a choice between a physician with superior bedside manner or one who is very knowledgeable, I would undoubtedly opt for the individual with knowledge. Unfortunately, Dr. Weiss does not possess either quality. I find it particularly difficult to believe that he specializes in pediatric gynecology. He was terribly rude to say the last. When my previous physician left Emory and I had no choice but to see Dr. Weiss for a follow-up instead, I overheard him--referring to me--ask a nurse, "Why is she even here?" It's as though his time was too precious to waste on helping a patient with a rather serious condition. Based on his treatment towards me, that reality was blatantly obvious, and he continued to provide me with nothing more than details regarding my condition that I already knew. If he took a moment to examine my file, he would've understood that.

Cold, Hurried Visit
My first appointment with Dr. McKinney (now Johnson) also will be my last. The staff here from the CNPs to the MDs typically provide outstanding service. She does not fall into this category, and I hope she won't be on-call the day I go into labor. I'm surprised with the quality of doctors they have, she was even hired. She provided very cold service and a minimal amount of input on anything--questions, comments, etc. I realize everyone is busy and in a hurry, but she makes it obvious her day is too important to take time out for you--the patient. The other personnel have never made me feel this way. As much as I respect their time and try to use it resourcefully and efficiently, they have been consistent at ensuring that I have everything I need. I cannot offer an opinion as to whether Dr. McKinney (Johnson) was knowledgeable, because the appointment was so brief. As I said, she didn’t offer much but a cold personality.

Sincere Care
We have been taking our many dogs and cats there for years. Dr. Harris was so comforting and caring when we lost our cat suddenly. His commitment to doing all he can and helping us fully understand what happened was beyond impressive. The remainder of the staff has always been very professional and dedicated to finding accurate diagnosis to issues, as well.

What a Combo! Solid Knowledge and Bedside Manner.
I have been a patient of Michael Dawson, M.D. for years--long before he joined Northside Hospital. He is patient, caring, knowledgeable... the works. Coming from a physician-filled family, I am very familiar with the industry and believe all physicians should follow Dr. Dawson's example of practicing medicine.
