Friendly, but not timely
Herman from Delta Appliances repaired the shattered glass of my oven door. Upfront, what you need to know:
Pros: Friendly on the phone and in person, reasonable prices
Cons: Piss-poor time management, incomplete and inconsistent follow-up
My initial contact, after seeing all the stars on Kudzu.com, was via email. Herman called me back and provided a reasonable quote that same morning. I paid for the cost of the glass upfront so it could be ordered. I had a week-long business trip and told him when I'd next be available, which was approximately 10 business days later. Upon my return, I called and learned a piece had still not arrived. At the end of the second week, he let me know the glass arrived and scheduled the repair.
He told me he’d call me by “mid-morning” to provide an arrival window, but I called him at noon, and at 4pm for ETA status. At 5:30pm, he called me to get my address! He arrived at 6:02pm. He was gone by 7pm. Before and after pics attached. His prices may be low, and I'm sure he'll blame the delay on the supplier or somewhere else, but the time it cost me (3 weeks and a full day) somewhat negated the savings and value.
