I went to get store-bought hair dye removed, and after sitting there for 2.5 hours through 2 processings and a dye job (I was promised at each step that it would be the last step), I came home looking the exact same as I went in, only down $75. I came back the following week to ask for a partial refund (I'm reasonable- they spent time and money on me, so I don't deserve a full refund, but why should I pay that much money for absolutely nothing?) and was told that the manager was not in but I should come back in a few days. I returned again and wasn't even allowed to talk to the manager. A receptionist listened to me, told the manager, came back and told me there would be no refund- I could have my hair colored again, with no guarantee that it would do any more good this time around, but that was it. All I really wanted was a token of good faith- throw me $20, even just $10, and I might have come back. Instead what I learned is that they have absolutely no customer appreciation and they lost my return business.
