Fearful, aggresive dog to friendly friend

Our sweet, friendly dog was teased and tormented by a teenager when I left him in the car for a few minutes. When I came out I caught this kid in the act of scary our dog so much that he had left anal excretions in the car. He went from trusting everyone to being aggressive to everyone and scared of any quick moves. We were in classes at CPT and one of the instructors suggested that we have a training session with Mark. In one session he gave me the tools to work with my dog. He set up scenarios right there in the office to show me what to do in different situations! With these new tools I worked with my dog and gave him his confidence back and he has a happy face once again! I have always had dogs, even though I tried to fix our problem, nothing I did seemed to work. I was really worried. I am so delighted that I took the class with Mark. We have been in 3 different types of classes at CPT and all of the instructors are professional, have patience and completely use positive reinforcement. We are taking an agility class now and are having so much fun! We will continue taking classes if nothing else for fun and socialization! Never could have done this without Mark and his staff!

I have a wonderful dog that was traumatized by a teenager when I left him in the car for a few minutes. I cought the kid doing it, that is how I know it happened. After this teen teasing and scaring my dog he became aggressive. I tried for several weeks to get things back to my friendly, warm dog, but my efforts were futile. I had been taking classes with CPT and told this story to my trainer who suggested that I speak with the owner who works with aggressive behavior. My dog and I met with Mark, the owner, for a 2 1/2 hour session that was nothing short of miraculous. He set up scenarios for us right there in the building. Gave me tools to use to reassure my dog and bring peace to the house again. I have had dogs all of my life and never had this situation. No matter what I worked on with my dog, nothing seemed to really help. After working with him at home and in the neighborhood for a week, he was almost back to normal! Now things ARE back to normal and I could never have done it without Mark's help and guidance. His instructors that we have had (3 classes so far)have been fantastic, positive and very professional. We are now taking agility classes and having so much fun!
