Shaky Phone Service
I recently switched over to TimeWarner's bundled digital phone service. Their so called digital quality service is very disappointing. Barely 3 months in and the phone has randomly lost dial tone 4 times. Wait time to reach a CS agent avg at least 15 min. No explanation why the system goes down so much. When it's working, the voice quality is sometimes crackly as if I'm using a calling card. Also, TW does not support use of '1010XXX' numbers (for discount international dialing), despite the agent's assurance that it did at the time of signup. As much as I hated the AT&T monopoly in my area, at least their phone system was never down in the 7 yrs I was with them. Beware when you sign up with TimeWarner. Their digital phone service is not quite ready for prime time.

Quick, Professional -- Kinda Pricey
They fixed my washer (broken coupler) in short order with no fuss. I found them on the web and called in for an appt. Got scheduled for next day. They charged $25 for service call. Got 2 hr window, and repair guy called 1/2hr before arriving as promised (unlike Sears who makes you wait a week then not show up). They diagnosed the trouble quickly and had parts on hand. Repair only took 15 min. Repair guy was professional and upfront about his estimates and fees and even offered a web coupon. Unfortunately (and this is my main gripe), the cost was a bit steep even after the $15 coupon. Less than Sears would have charged but not what I would call a good deal. I don't know if this is normal but they are actually listed under 2 other names. 911 Appliance Repair is one of them.
