Very Happy with Tile Style

We had several jobs including a new shower and tiling a fireplace. Both came out amazingly well (see photos). Pawel was also able to replace bathroom fixtures in 2 bathrooms and some light electrical work so I didn't have to bring in a team of people to get it all done. Thanks Tile Style!

Incredible service

Admittedly, the majority of my reviews are negative, but not this time. I talked my wife into buying a bike at a garage sale, and the tire blew the first time she rode it. She brought it in to REI, and even though we did not buy it from there, and it was not a $1000 bike, they were great. They fixed the problem and didn't even charge her. I had heard about REI service before, bt never really bought into it. From now on, if I am considering a purchase, I will check to see if REI has the item first.

Woodhams Eye Clinic

Not for Lasik

I scheduled my Lasik months in advance, and they left me a message at 4:30 the day before that my 8:15 am was cancelled. Something about their Lasik machine needed recalibrating. I had scheduled a few days off work, my wife was taking off work to take me there... The next morning, the day of the surgery, I got a reminder email about my surgery that day... what incompetence. When I talked to someone and let them know how upset I was, I got a response of "you were not the only one effected"... as if that made it better? Unless you are a famous person that they want to have a picture of on their wall, don't do it I see this with a lot of businesses. At one point they were the only game in town and didn't have to be service oriented. When I initally had my eval, I asked why their prices were higher. I was told they did many types of procedures and didn't have to be competitive with lasik. After the scheduling fiasco, I got it. They don't really care. I went someplace else and had it done successfully (for $1800 less) with the same machine used by Woodham.

A good choice

I was originally going to go with Woodham Eye because it was closer to my home, but after a scheduling fiasco (cancelled surgery the day prior) I went with AVI. I'm glad I did. Dr. Ashraf told me everything to expect. This is important to me as I would mentally check off every item he told me, and it was exactly as he described. Dr. Ashraf and AVI was a good choice for me.

Lousy Service

I went for a checkup which they said was free when I got my new bike. I had not been happy with the bike, and sure enough the chain came off on the way to the store. The handle bars were extremely loose also. I got there 10 minutes after they opened (on a Sunday in late September), and they said they 'might' be able to look at it today. My hands are covered in grease from putting the chain back on, I told them I rode the bike over, I even wobbled the handle bar for them... it would have taken LESS than 5 minutes to tighten the handle bar and look at the derailer... they did not care about my safety. BTW - When I went to the service dept I was the only customer and there were 2 employees standing there. If you want to talk about biking and triathalons, you would like this place. If you want a dependable bike with service after the sale... it didn't work for me.
