Great Job. Professional Service.

We have been VERY happy with the service we received and the air quality in our house since Scott and his team cleaned our A/C. He was very professional and went way beyond what I expected. Even cut a place for me to maintain my filter on a very old A/C unit, when everyone else just wanted to make a sale. Thank you very much for your professionalism and a job well done. I will, and have recommended them to my family and friends.

Too Bad

We used EMJ for a long time, and were very happy. Then things disappeared. Could never prove that it was someone working for them, but it was always little things, and always on Friday after they were there. A GPS, a Zune MP3 player, etc. Decided to stop before it was something more. Nothing missing since. Too bad. They did a very good job. Would have been much better if the same crew showed up all the time.

Tried to be patient

My wife called J&L because they are local (we like to patronize local businesses) and they were well reviewed on Kudzu. Went in because the check engine light was on. I got a call back, there was a problem with a valve or sensor. I asked him to add an oil change and go ahead with the work. I was called and told that my car was ready. When I showed up (getting dropped there by a friend), the car hadn't been started. I waited over an hour. During this time I tried to pay. What an adventure this turned out to be. Paid with my debit card and there was some malfnction where it didn't get charged correctly or didn't go through and wasn't correct on their system, or something. Charge was reversed and corrected, but then I couldn't use the same card. I ended up having to put it on a credit card I really didn't want to use, but at this point just wanted to leave. Next day, both charges show up. I returned to the shop and waited again to try and get it fixed. i thoughht maybe there was a hold on the debit or reversal, so I went by the credit union and had them check that first. Finally got that straight, and 1 month later the charge shows up on my statement again, because it was reversed twice. They were very nice about it, with many apologies, but for a first time customer, I am not sure it is worth all of the hassles I had to go through to get one valve replaced. I have 4 cars at home, and I am still looking for a good, local repair shop. Nice folks, just too much drama for me.

Very pleased

This was an all-around pleasant experience. Curt and his mom showed up, quoted a lower price than what I was getting from others, and did exactly what I asked and what they promised. Not only did I get an emergency removal done at a VERY fair price, I asked them about two other trees that were bothering me as well. Curt added them on at next to nothing, and again, I was very pleased. If you need a friendly tree removal service, done right and reasonably priced; this is the tree service you should call.
