Late late late

This review is for their plumbing arm, Mr. Plumber. I looked for their listing but could not find it. I called for their $93 or free drain opening special. They scheduled me between the hours of 8AM and 10AM. It's now 11:00AM. Still no one here. I called their office and they said that they had told me it would be between 8AM and 12PM. No correct. I specifically remember thinking "Gee, that time window's better than the cable company." So, now having taking time off of work, I am waiting in a technician that will show up at the tail end of their supposed window and make me miss even more work. I guess cheap is as cheap does. I haven't had service yet so I will update on value once they have been here. (Fingers crossed) UPDATE: They called me at 11:35 and told me that they would be another 30-45 minutes. Thanks for wasting half my day but no thanks to you and your poor service.

GOODYEAR AUTO SERVICE CENTER

Good if you can leave your car

This Goodyear service center's location is very convenient for me. Unfortunately, it has never been convenient to go there. I mostly bring my car in for oil changes, but since the very first time I went in 2008,I ended up waiting for over an hour. It became so commonplace that that I started calling ahead of time to see if they were free. Usually I end up using their shop about 1 out of every 3 tries. I am not unhappy with their work. That has always been fine. I've just had enough. This afternoon, I called to see whether they were able to perform an oil change. An polite young gentlemen told me they were busy but that they would have time at 3PM. I promptly arrived at that time, 30 minutes passed and my vehicle was still sitting outside. I had errands to run and I couldn't wait any longer, especially if they hadn't even begun to work on the vehicle. I knocked on the door leading into the work area, as no one was at the counter, and explained to an older man that I had to leave. He didn't say say a word and just rudely handed me the greasy plastic sleeve that contained my paperwork and keys. I fished my keys out and left the rest on their counter. I understand schedules don't always work as planned, but a few simple words explaining the delay or an update would have been nice. The attitude was what lost my business for them. I will not be coming back.

Best Bang for your money

I was in the market for my first Rolex and found these guys on the web. When I found out they were local, I decided to visit. (On a side note, make sure to call for an appointment) The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I learned a lot about watches and their care. In the end, I walked out of there with a tremendous deal on a great watch. I will certainly go back to pick up my engagement ring when the time comes.

Poor service if you purchased through Groupon

I purchased a 1 hour massage for myself and my girlfriend through Groupon. I was running late for my appointment and called to let them know. Their response? "Well, you'll just have to deduct that time from your massage." I was a bit taken aback by her curt attitude, especially because the attitude came after she found out it was a Groupon deal.But, after all, it was me that was late so I just accepted it. I do, however, suspect that I wouldn't have gotten such a response had I been a regular paying customer. Our massage was scheduled for 11:15 and we arrived at 11:30. They had us fill out some paperwork and by the time we got into the room, for the massage, it was 11:45. The massage itself was great, but exactly at 12:15 it ended. I expected to lose 15 minutes, but we were never told to arrive early to fill out paperwork and such. So all in all I paid $35 for a 30 minute massage. Not much of a deal. If you are going to be upset and treat people poorly for taking advantage of a sale, why have it at all?

3 Strikes You're Out

Firstly, I suspect that they have problems getting people out the door early or on time. I could never get an estimate time earlier than 10:30AM. They're in Marietta, I'm in Norcross. Regardless, they scheduled for an estimate of my home and my parents home. I actually took off of work to meet with them and when they didn't show up, I called to ask them what was going on. They apologized and said the original dispatcher was inexperienced and didn't input the appointment properly. Would it be ok to have someone come by at 1PM? Sure. They called at 1:30 and said they were running late and would be by at 4PM. I had other things to do so I told them i would call and reschedule. Silly me, what was I thinking? I called the following wee and rescheduled for, you guessed it, 10:30AM. They called me the day before to confirm the appointment. It's not 11:30, the day of the appointment. As it turns out, according to the woman who answered the phone when I called, the estimator's car broke down and she was lost at the same time. Would it be ok to send someone else by 1PM? No, it's not ok. Maybe the other people who had positive experiences lived near Marietta, but I for one can't recommend them at all. In fact, I'm out 2 days of work for a paint job that never took place. Terrible.

This Company Really Tries

Due to a series of coincidental events, I had originally posted a negative comment regarding this company. In retrospect, let's face it, no company is perfect. But it's what they do when something goes wrong that really shows a company's true color. I got so many follow up calls from several different people that tried to find out what went wrong, as well as to make it right. I even got a call from Mr. Estes himself. Needless to say, I am impressed with this company. To actually have this kind of response from a company of this size is unheard of these days. Just from this experience alone, I know that anyone that becomes a customer will be very well serviced. Hopefully I will become one of those customers (I'm in the process of getting a quote for a new furnace). In the end they really have made it right.
