Not what I expected

A number of friends raved about this place, but I found it to be lacking. In the middle of taking the classroom instruction, they switched from 6 5-hour classes to 5 6-hour classes, but we still had to take 6 classes because they combined two -- one he had already had and one he hadn't. No mention of this change was given when we signed up -- if so, we would have waited to start the classes until the changeover happened. When I signed up, I asked how much driving experience the student was expected to have had before they did the actual driving and was told that there was no minimum experience necessary. The first instructor showed up (late) and was aghast that he'd had very little experience -- she said their first lesson normally involves highway driving. Had I known this I would have worked more with him -- as it was, they NEVER went out on the highway with him. He indicated that the first two lessons were mainly just driving around -- not much 'instruction' was given except "change lanes here", "turn left here" and, of course, parallel parking. The only tip to help him that was communicated to me was "practice". The last instructor was more helpful and we actually paid for one extra lesson with him. Wish we would have had him first and maybe the experience would have been better. I'm going to have to find another way to make sure he is a good safe driver. Big waste of money, in my opinion.

Disappointed

We've used Dr. DeLong since before he was "VCA". I still believe he is a superb vet, but since VCA has become involved, I have noticed a decline in the quality of their service. Earlier this year, I waited 35 minutes before a tech even came into the room and then she was not very nice. About 2 months ago, one of our birds got sick. The new vet (not Dr. Delong) recommended feeding with a special food and when the bird continued to lose weight, she recommended a blood test (expensive), which we did -- either the lab goofed or not enough blood was taken, but the end result was no result. She said they could redo the test, but not for at least another week. We ended up going for a second opinion from a different vet and the bird has now recovered (with different treatment), but the $$ spent to VCA for no results is irksome. Again, I respect Dr. Delong immensely, but the practice itself seems to have gone downhill, in my opinion.

Great job and very professional.

Our A/C condenser stopped running yesterday and the A/C guy said it was the electrical box rathen than the A/C itself & I needed to call an electrician. I called Thrasher this morning and they were able to send someone out promptly. Nick came out and did a wonderful job replacing our old box and our A/C is working. He was able to answer all my questions and was very courteous and professional. Thanks again for a job well done!

Never again.

I will never again go back to this dentist. I have nerve damage from a prior dentist and this information has been relayed to the Dr. and his staff on numerous occasions, yet in my last visit, he felt the need to yell at me for reacting when he very roughly probed the site of the damage. Very unprofessional in my opinion. His dental technicians also talk about the patient like they are not there.
