Briarcliff Animal Clinic

The worst vet EVER.........

I'll try to sum it up as quickly as possible. My dog was attacked and bleeding profusely, torn skin AND through the muscle fibers near the neck/jugular area. They are the closest EMERGENCY vet so I race there and they take her right in....that's the good part. The next 2 hours I am panicked, waiting to know what's going on, finally someone comes out and tells me she needs stiches and they are about to close and that I'll have to drive 1 hour away to get her care. I ask what they were doing for the last two hours, they say holding her in a cage in the back to make sure she was stable. Ok, fine. Then my dog is about to go into shock because of the lack of care and they say she needs injections of pain meds and antibiotics immediately. I ask why they haven't administered them already...they made me talk with a VET TECH and I had to demand to talk to an actual VET. Then they call and harass me for months about the $50 I supposedly owed them for the antibiotic injection I had to wait 2 hours for and beg to administer then get sent off without any care for my poor baby dog who was bleeding and in terrible pain! I had previously gone there once before and dropped several hundred dollars in one visit for a tiny stiching up of a tear in my dog's skin, so for them to act like I was not going to pay was insult on top on injury and neglect.

Ansley Animal Clinic

Great vet clinic

Yes, you may have to wait sometimes. That is fine with me, as long as my animals receive the best care possible. The vets AND the office/front desk staff is so sweet and nice. In spite of the hectic pace of their jobs, they are on top of everything, polite and caring. Ansley is my usual vet but when I had an emergency situation and happened to be located very near by the "other" vet (see my review for Briarcliff) I chose to go to the Briarcliff vet due to being stuck in traffic with a time-semstive bleeding emergency. Well, one of the front desk staff at Ansley talked to me on the phone and helped talk me through what to do to stop the bleeding on the ride to the other vet (while someone else was driving me and my dog of course!) Also, she called ahead for me to the "other" vet and even called me personally the next day to make sure everything went ok with my dog and that she was concerned. THAT is amazing service and genuine care! The VETS at this clinic are great...especially the guys. The male vets at this practice are SO amazing, thorough and compassionate. The two women vets there are just ok...not as good as the guys in my opinion.
