Engineered Solutions of Georgia

Big Thumbs Up

We had problems with leaks in our basement for years. Called the "big" company out there (hint, it starts with a "T") and they quoted us over $10K that would have ripped out the drywall in our entire basement. Engineered Solutions came in, pinpointed a specific crack in our foundation, fixed that specific area, and re-did the drywall for 1/10th of the quote front other company. It's been two years and many rainstorms and not a drop of water has leaked into my basement. Highly recommend.

Stay away - much better out there

This school has no consistent academic curriculum, poor quality curriculum (think old, outdated photo copies) no events scheduled for moms or dads to come in (donuts with dad, etc.), no carpool (leaving you to dodge cars with small children in tow every morning), and very little emphasis on Christian faith (if that's important to you). There is SO much better out there. For parents who think they are happy there - I would suggest they have no idea how much better is out there. Shop around! (PCBC, NCA to name a few).

Camp Woof of Norcross

misclg@farleyhome.com

Nobody likes to board their dog - we certainly don't - so we liked using Camp Woof as an option if we had to, knowing our dog at least got to play with other dogs and get some fun exercise while there. In the past when we went there the staff was always really friendly, loved on our dog, and made us feel good about leaving her there. They have a new manager (as of our July 2012) visit and our experience COMPLETELY changed. He was snippy to us, he paid no attention to our dog, he lied about a conversation he had with one spouse, not knowing the other spouse would find out, and most importantly - when we sent an email the day after we picked up our dog sharing our concerns we received NO RESPONSE. Not a word... In my books - if someone doesn't appreciate my business enough to follow up with me, that speaks volumes... they don't get my business anymore.

Omega Carpet and Upholstery Care

Buyer Beware!!!

I sent an email inquiry to Omega asking for a quote. I gave them specific dimensions of my rooms. They responded with a quote that was 75% less than the others quotes! Knowing this fell in the "too good to be true" category, I sent them a response asking how their price could be so much lower? Their reply: "the quote we gave you was only the BASE PRICE. Once we get out to your house we'll have to quote you for pre-spraying, spot removal, deoderizer, etc." That's not the kind of company I want to do business with. Just quote me a fair price, don't try and do a "bait and switch."

Best kept secret

Who would have thought that a rather dated looking building in an aging part of town with a cheesy sounding name would be the BEST place to shop! If you need a table or barstool - they have it. We purchased two barstools for a kitchen island, 100's to choose from. It's now five years later and one of the seat covers on the barstool has a rip. I called them up, they still have my records on file, they've ordered a replacement, and will install it for free. They provide the type of friendly service you don't even realize exists anymore. If you're shopping for kitchen or bar furniture, this is the place to go.

A happy customer and a saved dog

I contacted five different irrigation companies in my quest to install a sprinkler system. Several showed up, then never gave a quote. One quoted me over $1,000 higher than Joe. Another wrote his (low) quote with a pen on the palm of his hand... not the level of professionalism I'm looking for. Joe returned my call promptly, came out on a Saturday morning, spent a lot of time talking to us, followed up the next day with a professional quote that he emailed to us. Every interaction was positive and professional. His quote was a fair price. Most importantly, when our dog escaped out of the backyard while Joe was there he found her and brought her back to us in his own car. How can I not rate him 5 stars after that?! His installation crew was courteous and everything is working properly. Finally, I like knowing that he will be back each year to inspect the system and make sure it's running as it should. A BIG thumbs up for Joe and Rainfall Irrigation.

Life changing - I'm cured!

After living with hip pain for almost two years and going through rounds of medication, steroid injections, a chiropractor, a massage therapist, and another physical therapy practice, I finally found someone to properly diagnose and "fix" me. I worked with Herb Silver, PT, and my life really did change. I went from being unable to walk around the block to just completing my first half-marathon. There IS a HUGE difference in Herb's approach compared to other PT practices. And it works.

Caring: A true doctor/patient relationship

I have been seeing Dr. Schuster for four years and have been very pleased. It's a small practice with personal care. Recently my 3 year old injured his eye on a Saturday morning. I paged Dr. Schuster b/c I did not know what to do - he told me to bring my son to his office immediately and met us there. He came back for a follow up appointment on Sunday morning as well. That kind of personal care speaks volumes for me - I'll never go anywhere else.

Disappointing experience

I had a very bad experience with one of the doctor's in this practice (Dr. Allen). I wrote a letter to the practice, asking them to respond and refund my co-pay (I had to take my child to a second practice to get an accurate diagnosis). I NEVER heard from anyone at the practice. I'm a big believer in the "it's not if you have a problem, it's how the problem was handled" customer service philosophy. For this practice to never take the time to pick up the phone and call me back tells me they do not care about my business, my child's well being, or their reputation in the community. Great location, a few individually good physicians, but this practice - as a whole - does not have their act together.

very bad experience

Dr. Allen showed zero ability to relate to my children or engage with them. She showed no empathy to me (the mother) or the situation. There was nothing warm about the interaction what so ever. When I call into the practice I make sure I am NOT scheduled with Dr. Allen.
