Collier Animal Hospital

Be Prepared for Unforeseen Costs

We recently attempted to switch vets and chose Collier Animal Hospital, given its proximity to our home. Unfortunately, though, after my most recent experience there, we won't be returning. While the vet seems quite knowledgeable, I just feel the need to warn people that you may walk out paying a lot more than you had planned -- case in point, I had made an appointment for a $14.85 six month bordatella booster, and walked out with an $82.84 bill. Immediately after administering the bordatella nasal spray, the vet went ahead and injected my dog before I even got a chance to ask exactly what she was doing. It ended up being a $17.99 leptospirosis vaccine. While I most likely would have OK'd the vaccine after hearing an explanation, I just can't get over the vetís presumptiveness in injecting my dog, with a substance unknown to me at the time, prior to obtaining my permission (let alone my request). As icing on the cake, I was charged a $50 dollar biannual wellness exam fee. As with the leptospirosis vaccine, I never requested an exam and was never told it was something this vet office requires for a bordatella booster. We will certainly be switching vets.

Excellent Services

As first time home buyers, a relationship with Janet is indispensable. We initially decided to go forward with Janet as our real estate agent because of her incredible efficiency in getting back to us quickly with any information we needed, and also because of her flexibility in meeting with us to show properties on a momentís notice. As attorneys with busy and hectic schedules, Janet was amazing at working around our schedules and gave up many of her nights and weekends to show us properties. As we progressed through the search process, Janetís services remained nothing but excellent. In addition, Janet is a real estate agent whom you can trust completely; she always has your best interest in mind. To illustrate, I was getting impatient with the buying process because we kept encountering competing offers. At one point when this happened, I got a bit reckless and was ready to submit an offer on a property which wasnít really what we wanted. Janet recognized this immediately, and instead of looking out for herself and just going forward with our offer, she talked me down from the ledge and helped me think a bit more rationally about what we were about to do. To this day, I am so thankful that we did not make that offer and I am eternally grateful for her honesty and sensitivity to our needs. I can say without hesitation that Janet will help you find your perfect home and will make sure that you stop at nothing less.
