FINALLY!!!! An HONEST & GREAT auto service
Last week when my Mazda refused to start. All indicator lights came on but it just wouldn't start. I called my go-to mechanic who speculated it was an ignition switch issue. They advised me to save on towing and just have a local company here in Woodstock take care of it. My go-to mechanic said it shouldn't cost no more than $250.
So I found a local company that had "good reviews" on kudzu.com, and had my car towed there that evening. They called me back first thing in the morning and said the towing company noted that my car rolled while in park and this indicated the "shift cable" was broken. Estimate...$179 for the part + $35 diagnostic + $45 to tow + $500 LABOR!!! = $759. Not only that, they also said that they had to fix the shift cable FIRST before they could have a look at the ignition switch...I almost cried, lol.
After asking a few questions they informed me that this shift cable was located within the transmission...that was all I needed to hear. I called Mark, briefed him with the details upon which time he said, and I quote..."get your car outta there QUICK" ...lol.
He informed me that it was a simple issue that happens with Mazda and they keep the part in stock.
Parts, labor, towing + the serendipitously application of an online coupon by Mark, again my bill was under $200.
These are Good people, who do Good work, and have a no questions asked policy just in case if there are any issues after the fact...Gotta love it.
I sure do.
