Dissapointed in customer service
After using Carter's cleaner for 30 plus years, (Parents and grandparents were also customers) I've recently decided to find a new dry cleaner. Carter's Cleaners misplaced a very expensive dress that I had purchased for a Christmas Party. Although the dress was eventually found, It was not ready when it was promised and I had to do all the leg work in trying to locate it. I wasted two hours of my time, still paid the bill and didn't even receive a apology for my time lost and stress! I found the attitude of the owner and the staff very unconcerned. More than just the time and effort on my part to locate the dress, the owner's attitude seemed to be, "Well, the dress was eventually found, so what is the big deal"?
This was not the only problem that I've had with Carter's over the years. Another time, my clothes were sent to the Stockbridge location by error causing me to have to drive miles farther to pick up my clothes, using my time and gasoline! Another time, a jacket zipper was ruined. Losing my dress was the straw that broke the camel's back! I prefer to use businesses that truly care about good customer relations!
