Not a good experience - they push cosmetic proced.

Went to Kendra Cole for melasma (hyperpig) after preg. She said there was not much that could be done, but that her husband - also a Dr. at the practice - specializes in cosmetic treatments to help. Before she left the room, she asked if I ever had a full body scan. I had not (age 35) so ok'd her doing so. She claimed she found a questionable mole in the middle of my back (a spot I happened to not be able to see at all) and could she biopsy it. I allowed her. It was fine - but to this day, I'm convinced it was a way to make money (esp. after reading the reviews of her wanting to biopsy a spot on everyone). I then saw her husband. He struck me as a Christian Slater type - smooth talking and mellow (almost too mellow). They did a free UV scan of my face. His only recommendation for my melasma was 5k worth of laser treatments with no guarantees. No thank you. Do not go here - they push the cosmetic products and services. Not a "true" dermatology office in my opinion.

Great experienced surgeon -not best bedside manner

I interviewed many drs. while considering something to be done for the hollowness under my eyes. I chose him because of his experience level. I was 30 at the time, and did not want something invasive - he recommended a fat transfer. I did the procedure - the results were ok, but any dr. will tell you that fat transfers are iffy procedures that take better on some people than others. I also had my neck done to give me a more defined jawline. While every dr. recommended just lipo- he told me that that alone would not do the job. He cut and restructured my muscle. I was very happy with the outcome. He also did a filler in my upper lip - it did not last at all; again, this is something that works better on some people. I had had restylane does elsewhere before and it also did not last. Overall, I think Dr. Rusca is a very experienced talented dr. He is not the friendliest - but I think it's because he is approaching 70 and I was in my 30's - major generation gap. I thought his rates were reasonable considering he is in Atlanta with many years of experience.

Great consultation

I met with Dr. Simon about 5 years ago when I was interviewing plastic surgeons. She had just started her practice at the time. While I ended up not using her, she was great - she spent so much time explaining everything. She has an excellent bedside manner. She recommended something a little more invasive than I wanted at the time (for hollowness under my eyes). Since she was a new dr. I chose a more experienced dr. I would def. go back to see her if I was considering more surgery.
