Peachtree Pest Control posted on 10/16/2009
disappointing end to a 12-year relationship
I used Peachtree for termite and pest control for 12+ years. I was always satisfied with the pest control side, but the termite side was often frustrating. At renewal time, I opted for the Sentricon system because it included a repair bond (not simply re-treat). Subsequently, I had at least 2 active termite infestations that were not stopped or even detected by the Sentricon system. Peachtree did come out and treat the affected areas and repair the damage as best their hired hands could. At one point, the manager of their termite business said that Sentricon was so ineffective that in order to avoid future problems for me (and repairs by them), he would do a free conventional chemical treatment. However, they never did that treatment and he did not respond to my messages asking about it. Finally, I ran into major complications when a crawlspace contractor sprayed foam insulation on the crawlspace walls and adjacent wood structure. Peachtree (understandably) said they could not do a valid inspection unless that foam was removed from the tops of the walls and the adjacent wood, and worse, they would not issue the "termite letter" I needed to sell the house. My crawlspace guy came back and removed the foam from those areas. I then called Peachtree to have them re-inspect and issue the letter, but they did not return my calls. After 12 years of paying them, I would have expected better. I hired another termite company to do the final inspection and issue the letter.

Crawlspace Doctor, Inc. posted on 10/16/2009
Absolute integrity
I hired Richard to clean up and dry out a very nasty crawlspace after getting 3 other proposals. My decision was based mostly on reviews on Kudzu. Richard put me in touch with another firm to clean up the mold that my procrastination had allowed to get out of control, then he carried out his proposal, including bringing in another company to spray foam insulation on the crawlspace walls and adjacent wood structure. Then the real complications began. My termite company said the foam prevented them from doing a valid inspection. Worse, several months later I was selling the house and needed a "termite letter" for closing. Richard and I had no luck getting the foam-spraying company to remove the foam from the areas needed for inspection, so he came back and devoted 2 man-days of effort in removing that foam -- at no charge to me. Richard is a man of the highest integrity. Combine that with his knowledge, dependability, and work ethic, and I give him my highest possible recommendation.
