Fast, efficient, NO hassle, no upselling schmooze

My house is actually in Roswell, so I'm posting this in Roswell, as well as Marietta, which is where their office is. Not only did Perry send out his team faster than anyone else could do, but he didn't expect me to take time off work to come to the house so he could spend an hour schmoozing to justify a higher price. He didn't require my time to "show him what to do" nor did he charge a high price. His crew did the work quickly and left NO mess! His price was less than most of the others quoted, and they all needed more lead time to come out. I'm super pleased.

Not only did Perry send out his team faster than anyone else could do, but I didn't have to drive 40 miles RT to show him what to do, which is what the other companies all wanted me to do. His crew did the work quickly and left NO mess! I can finally see my house from the street, and there are no dead branches, and the trees look great. His price was less than most of the others quoted, and they all needed more lead time to come out. I'm super pleased.

Professional and "To the point"

These guys don't dilly-dally around. They get straight to the point on the phone, are organized, show up when they say they will without making you wait around for hours, and get right to work on the job.

Lazy Yahoos

Kevin gave us a 2 hr.time frame in which he'd arrive. He still showed up late, claiming that he'd been calling all morning. Apparently, he doesn't realize that I can look at my cell phone and see that he hadn't called. I'd given him the list of 3 projects on the phone and in person and in writing, but they kept forgetting what to do, and would just quit working. They spent the 1st half hour standing around while he tried to get me to buy more time. WHen I left for a while, I was told by someone in the house that Kevin left as well, and no one worked while I was gone. WHen I returned, Kevin left for an hour. I got about one hour total work out of the "2 men for 4 hours" deal. I paid them extra to finish the only project they were able to finish. I'm no contractor, but I've done a better job at this myself in the past. I suppose it's like they say, "if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself."

A little more expensive but They do great work

The AC at my rental house broke down on one of the hottest days of the year when temps were in the 90's. The only problem I had with them was the same problem I have with many repair companies: they give an ETA that is a 3-4 hour range, then I drive to the house and wait and they don't make it within that ETA. The renter was angry and kept calling and threatening to get the most expensive hotel he could find, and saying he didn't believe I had called anyone. Other than that, when the Aames guy did arrive, he quickly figured out the problem and fixed it on the spot. Although I did have to drive to the area so I'd be close when he arrived (and had to wait 3 hours at a cafe' nearby), I'd say he only spent 20 minutes total from start to finish and fixed the problem completely without any hassles. I recommend them.

Taylor Construction

Unbelievably abusive Salesman

I'd seen a display for home improvement at Wal-mart and asked about an appt. to get a new roof. An appt.was made and I got a call to confirm the appt. for the next day. The man on the phone said he was with Taylor Construction. The salesman showed up the next day 20 min late and had not called to say he was on the way. he did not give me a card, or have any ID on his clothes or his SUV. He blamed his lateness on someone else. He started to talk about the roof, but began asking me a lot of personal questions. I asked him why he needed to know, and he lectured me about questioning his questions. When he asked me whether my husband and I are arguing or seperated, I told him we are fine (we are),but asked him again about his motives for the questions. He became so irritated, he put out his hand to shake mine, as if to leave though he'd not yet given me an estimate. I walked away and he started calling me names. I had to tell him to leave my property immediately. I am stunned at how insulting he was and how hard he tried to intimidate me. This was not at all what I expected of a company with such a famous name.
